*sigh* the pictures are of awful quality, so bear with me. That picture dates back to 1997 (the one where my dh is wearing a hat). I had such a DIFFICULT time scrapping these! Bad pictures are really hard to scrap! Anyway, our wedding anniversary is tomorrow (the 24th) so this will be one of my dh's gifts. I think the first year is paper. This qualifies as paper, right? The journaling is kind of long and rambling...not really cohesive -LOL. But thanks for looking/reading anyway!

Journaling: Then and now. So much has changed, yet one thing, the thing that matters, has remained the same. The foundation of our relationship remains rock solid. That foundation is love. Simply love. It was true then, and it is true now. We have experienced ups and downs, but our love for one another has never wavered. Just two years into our relationship we became parents. It came at such a young age, but for us, it only made our love stronger. Our journey into parenthood was the best experience of our lives. Then when we finally married, we were ten years into our relationship. Many people wondered why we waited so long. There is no answer. We always knew we were meant to be, marriage or not. I have to say, it was so worth the wait. We had the wedding of our dreams filled with excitement, love, happiness, and joy. It doesn’t seem like it was a year ago. I recall it in my mind as if it were yesterday. Becoming your wife turned me into the woman I had always wanted to be. The woman I was destined to be. And over this year, I have fallen in love with you even more if that is possible. Now, as we start a new journey of our lives and plan for our future - a home of our own, another child - I realize that we are lucky to be able to look to our past with fondness. It is with God’s grace that we have made it this far. And with Him in our lives, I can firmly say, I loved you then, I love you now, I’ll love you always.
