Every look at a Kleenex box and say...those graphics are sooo cute? Even though I have a closet fill of expensive scrapbooking materials, I decided to cut up a few empty Kleenex boxes and paint chips from the hardware store to make these cards. I also just happened to have these grey pre-made blank cards & envelopes that turned out to be the perfect color. I actually found them after I made the larger blue card (otherwise you would have been looking at 3 grey cards).
If you don't have one of these button making punches yet...get one. It gives you the flexibility to make buttons in any color or pattern paper. You can layer the buttons to make them thicker and it embosses. Another thing to pick up it this glossy accent GOO stuff. It turns plain cardboard into these cool epoxy looking embellishments. (Click on the image to see more detail.)
Paint chips are a great (and cheap) way to add a burst of color or texture.
"thank you" was cut on my Circut using SCAL, I added a couple embroidery threads on a few buttons, and a few shiny things I had. Everything on these cards I had.
Only got to use my DECO Scissors once. Can you spot where I use them? and in keeping with "old school" scrapbooking...can you say.....
AHHHHH CHOOOOOO! BUTTON SNEEZE!!!
PS I really like that these cards are not too froo-froo and I can give them to guys. Now I just have to remember who I give them to so I don't give the same person two.
