SHCG: Deborah, I can totally see why they asked you to be on the team! This rocks. I really love the warm colors and the fabulous picture. My only suggestion is to nudge the knot on the ribbon an inch or two to the left. Otherwise, I see perfection here.
SHCG: Love the colors on this, her eyes really stand out beautifully. Only thing I would;ve changed is the journaling, seems like the nice journaling you added would have been more suited for more casual photos. Great Job with this lo tho!
SHCG: I think you nailed this LO... I love placement of everything and the details are great. I relly love the flower folded over with the clip. Great LO!
schg: wonderful work! congratulations, by the way! this is beautiful. i love the placement of the journaling it is there and doesn't take away from the lo.
SHCG - Marvelous LO, Deborah, I thing you did spectacularly on this. I love all the layered "pp", the colors, the clusters of elements around the pic corners, the ribbon, the uber-cute photo. Wonderful journaling, so awesome you had a Wednesday celebration to accommodate Jim's work schedule! I love all the virtual dimension here. One thing - while I think that binder clip is adorable, I kinda wish it was smaller... because of the implied dimension & its size, along w/ the flowers shooting above it, it just seems to weigh that upper left corner down for me, I think (JMHO!) that making the clip smaller would give more balance between that corner & the lower right. But really, what an incredible job, Deborah!
SHCG: This is so pretty, I love that little binder clip holding the flower ~ awesome touch. The picture is great, love the ribbon, buttons and flowers :)
SHCG: With this lo, it's no surprise you were asked to join the DT, Deborah. I love all the textural elements to this page. I especially dig the different buttons, and you are a woman after my cold critiquing heart by adding digi thread through one of them. I have this thing about buttons on a lo with threading, unless there's a good creative excuse behind it. Unlike the comments below, I'm not seeing the need for shadowing, but I'm no digi scrapper. I also like the pop of color that the green adds to the page. I would like to see that green panel come down a bit, though, to close that gap between it and the layered leaves. I like your journaling, but I feel the date's positioning is a bit disjointed. I'd delete the year and move November 26 as is, just under Thanksgiving. Finally, although I like those mums(?), their bright color moves my attention away from your photo since they are the brightest pieces on the page. Unfortunately, I'd have to suggest you remove them, and just leave that area blank. Your clipped folded flower and ribbon already do a nice job of keeping our focus on those handsome faces. The clipped folded flower, btw, is a nice piece with added interest since the clip looks to be a little distressed. Is there writing on the clip?
SHCG: Such a nice photo. I think this turned out really good but I agree with Chris... since this is digi but some of the elements are meant to be dimensional, some shadowing or something to show dimension would be great. Also, for some reason the green paper in the upper right corner doesn't seem to match the "fall" feel to the remainder of the page.
shcg: This is great Deb! I know how difficult it is to make QPs -- I'd tried my hand at digiscrapping about a year ago, and did some QPs for a site I was on (part of a challenge, and you could get this HUGE set of papers/elements if you participated). My only recommendation, although I know you've turned this in already, but for yourself...some of the page seems a bit flat. I think some shadowing on your layers would add just a bit more bang for your buck here! But I, seriously, love this and would SOOO use it myself!
