Here in Iceland we have 13 santaclauses, they live in the montains and come one a day 13 days before christmas. These santas gives the kids a gift in their shoes ( which they have placed by the window ). My son's first xmas he was too young to understand this so his grandmother gave him a xmas sock and he got small gifts instead. Here is his first.
