SHCG: Love the tab of paper hanging over the yellow.... the puff paint doodles... the torn paper... and the arrangement of the cute photos! I agree that the date is a distraction... I'd try and edit that out in future LOs.
SHCG: What fun colors and what a swinging liddle guy! That date stamp can work for you are against you. I would suggest either turning it off or including the whole date.
SHCG: Love the doodles around the edge, it really added to the LO for me. The torn paper and inking made this page perfect for a child LO. Very cute photos and an awesome LO.The only thing I don't see is the date anywhere, other than the 07 on one photo.
(GDCG)comment; cute flaps at the top with the puffy paint! critique: twinscrapbee below has really good ideas, but something I was thinking was just a nice bright photo corner on the top left and bottom right photos would look cute, just IMHO
SHCG: Cute bg pp to go with your cute pics. I like the sign and your title. I also like how the dogeared section has an arrow to keep our focus directed on the photos. Since Trevor is looking down in the bottom pic, I'd swap it with the pic above it, and not overlap the two so much so that it's not too top heavy. I'd scoot it closer to the title or fill up the space a little between the title and the pic with a 1/2 cm spaced outline of the title in blue. I noticed you used past tense in your journaling, so I suggest adding a date maybe on a tab coming from the left side of the smaller photo. That way you're also bringing the three together, and the smaller one doesn't seem so separate. Another photo placement idea is put the two big ones alongside each other and the smaller one to the right of the sign.
SHCG - There is so much delightful terrificness on this page! I love the pics & the colors. Fun w/ the torn boy pp in the background. I like the border you made of little touches of yellow paint/ink, it's playful & unique. Cute sign on the bottom. I also like that you used 3 photos, seems like a nice number for this page plus it creates a visual triangle. About the journaling, since you use both "he" & "Trevor," I would make the 1st sentence be "Trevor loved swingin," then use "he" where you used "Trevor." Because you started w/ saying "he," when you say "Trevor" I got temporarily thrown off, thinking it was someone else, before I realized "he" IS Trevor. Wonderful scrapping, Becky!
SHCG: Very very cute! Love the paper peeled back and all the distressing. The little playground sign is adorable. I agree with Chris about painting the full border. Great job :)
Critique Group: Very cute, love the layering! The little rip at the top with the same design you put in the corners is a nice touch. It may be the picture, but I can't really see what the sign says. Maybe a little lighter color on the wording?
shcg: cute! love your distressing/inking. trying to get my feelings about me in regards to the paint. i kind of wish you had done a full border because the squiggles seem slightly lost.
