First - Thank you Ames, my Flapper girlfriend for the cute birhday card last year. The front of it was perfect for this layout!

I WONDER WHAT THIS DOES!

Bill and Joe were riding their Segways behind the mall when Bill spotted a piece of plywood in the dumpster behind the Verizon store. Of course the two of had to investigate. It was just what Bill needed to make a walking/storage area in the attic.

The Verizon store was only a few months old but they were remodeling all the stores in the country so this one was being remodeled too, even though everything in it was new.

While getting to the plywood they found a small metal box with two buttons.

Bill pushed the two buttons a few times and nothing happened so he asked Joe, “What do you think this is?” Joe didn't know so he pushed the two little buttons a few times too.

They saw the police come to the Verizon store and go inside, but they didn't think anything unusual about it. They just continued to push the little buttons trying to figure out the purpose for the little device.

They took turns pushing the little buttons, removed the battery, put it back in and pushed it some more and then decided to take it home and see if they could figure out what it was.

When they got home they looked up on the internet found out they had been pushing the hold up button. They had repeatedly been calling the police!

I understand it is customary for the police to call when a silent alarm goes off
before going to the business to determine if there is indeed a problem.

Can you imagine the conversation?

“Hello – are you having a problem? Your silent alarm went off.”

“No, we are fine.”

“Oops, it just went off again. Are you sure everything is okay?”

“No, the silent alarm button has not been pressed.

“There it is again, are you sure you are not having a problem?”

“No officer, we haven't touched the alarm.”

After 10 or 12 more times…

“Oops – it just went off again. We will be right there.”

iPhone Fun!

Joe was here one evening and he and Bill were having a grand time texting pictures back and forth. They had learned that they could take a picture with their iPhones and text them to each other's iPhones. They spent all evening taking pictures and texting them to each other.

Finally, around midnight Joe went home but they weren't through playing with their iPhones yet. Bill headed for the shower and dropped his underwear around his ankles and took a picture of his feet and underwear just before stepping into the shower and texted it to Joe with the message, “And now I'm getting in the shower”.

A few minutes later Bill's phone rang and Jack, our friend in Hawaii asked, “Someone just sent me a strange picture. Who is this?”

Bill replied, “It's me Jack, Bill in Florida. My son and I were playing with our iPhones and sending pictures back and forth and I guess I hit ‘Jack' instead of ‘Joe' when I sent it. “

He then took a picture of his toes and texted it to Joe. Then I heard Bill fussing and I asked him what he was so upset about. He sent the picture of his toes to Jack instead of Joe. I took the phone away from Bill for the rest of the night.
