I have been struggling with my mojo for a few weeks and I'm still not sure that it has totally returned...I just haven't felt like scrapping at all and I have a couple of ufo's. This layout is for a dear friend of mine and this is her beautiful daughter laying in the Jacaranda petals that cover the ground every Oct/Nov in Grafton. Grafton is the Jacaranda city of Australia and has thousands of trees planted throughout the city. It holds an annual festival every year and has been the longest running floral festival in Australia. The festival lasts for a week with parades, fancy dress and Jacca Queens and Princess's being crowned in open ceremonies at the park and many other activities. The town just comes alive with purple! It is also a time of year that the evening thunderstorms roll in every afternoon, which causes the mass petals on the ground. Tourists from around the world come to see the Jaccas in bloom and the trees have never let us down with there glorious colour.
I have used Prima's older pp Strawberry Kisses and Bassil cardstock. The tree is from Scrapmatts and the clock and flourish is DA. I used flower soft on the tree and the birdbath is a photo of the one in my backyard. I just printed it onto the back of some old scrapbook paper that wasn't double sided and cut it out. The flowers are a mix of Prima and Green Tara. The diecut flowers are K and co. Thanks so much for looking :)
