The cut-work, the distressing, the lovely colors....all contribute to a page that is devine! Love the sense of whimsy you've achieved with this page!! beautiful work! xx
I'd don't have children of my own yet, but I can't seem to resist the urge to create scrapbook pages devoted to cute little bundles of newborn life. When that desire strikes, I'm fortunate to be able to turn to photos of myself and my siblings (and some of my cousins) at the youngest of ages. (Surely it must be good practise for my own future children's baby LOs!  )
This particular photo is of my little sister, sleeping as peacefully and looking as serene as an angel, which is what inspired the title of this page (as did the fact that she was a wonderfully sweet-natured child).
I loved the blend of soft pink and blue in the baby blanket (which, I think, my mom may have knit), so I pulled those hues and paired them with tranquil, garden-inspired shades of green for my palette.
Nestled behind the photo and journaling spot, you'll spy a piece of (Zutter Corrugated) cardboard, which I painted a blend of white, pink and burgundy, and also inked for subtle hints of added dimension.
~ Heartfelt thanks for checking out my page. Any questions about this LO, please don't hesitate to ask (PM me for fastest response). Wishing you a blissfully creative day! ~
