This is my GGGM & GGGP Lassey Heffner and Joseph H. Tuck in 1952. Lassey was born in 1878 and lived to be 99 years, 4 months and 12 day old! They lived in North Carolina as pioneers on their homestead. GGGP Joe was a farmer. He worked the land and loved to fish and hunt. Troop was his big buddy and hunting dog. They had 9 children and at last count sixty-nine grandchildren. Lassey took care of the home and their children. She was famous (in the family) for her hand quilting! After Joe's passing, she would rotate between 3 of her children's homes to stay in nice weather year round. I was fortunate enough to meet my GGGM and GGGP on a few vacations with my parents. I also feel very fortunate to have a five generation picture with GGGM Lassey and my DD's at 3 month old! As I'm scraping these pictures, just having to write a description is making me realize the importance of journaling my LO'! Thanks for stopping by “The Laundry Room.” Dawna
