Lo for me.
Journaling says it all. Christmas 2015 I was sick. I came down with a chest cold on the Sunday before Christmas. I don't look too bad in the photo on Christmas Eve, but I was feeling awful. I didn't cook. I sat in a chair and watched. I didn't touch the kids as I didn't want them to catch the bug.
I always love the chaos of opening the presents. I like the kids to just rip into their gifts. This year someone said, "littlest goes first". and the kids took turns. I didn't object. I like to photograph the paper all over the floor before it is picked up. Someone started picking it up as the kids opened their gifts. I didn't object.
I didn't take many pictures and now of course regret not taking more.
Christmas Day was a blur. I stayed in bed coughing. I sent Rum to Rose's to celebrate Christmas with her, his brother, our kids and all that side of the family. He brought food home to me. I couldn't taste much of anything. Taking down the Christmas tree made me sad. I didn't want to take it down. I didn't feel like I had Christmas. If I had lots of money, I would do Christmas all over again!
