On Thursday morning I woke up early and as I was getting my coffee I realized I had not taken out the recycling to the curb. I hurriedly put on a pair of shoes (clogs) and took the bin around the house to curb
side. As I came to the gate I notice all the petals from the tulip tree were starting to
fall like snow, they were also covered in dew! It was such a pretty sight that ran back
in the house for may camera.
Then to the smell of Sweet William I snapped
a few shots, including the orange tree in
the neighbors yard.
I recently read somewhere about taking your heavy cardboard and running it thru a crimper several (lots) times in all directions and it breaks down the fibers some and gives it a softer feel to the board. I did that to the board behind the photos.
I used the wax and Artisan powder on the wooden butterflies, I painted with a chalk type paint, then used a Q-tip to apply the powder in the small areas, then took my finger to rub the wax around the edges. I used a little re-inker soaked nib to color in the body of the butterfly.
The snail is just the powders with re-inker ink directly applied to the body of little guy. I used the point of a nib to draw the spiral on his shell.
