This Lo was inspired by the the Prayer album Challenge.....I just found this challenge today and was inspired to try it out. I need to get these thoughts on paper once in awhile. Thanks for a great challenge and thanks for looking!
Journaling reads:
I don’t pray out loud. I believe my thoughts
and needs are just between god and I.
He understands me, he understands my fears.
I usually think what I am praying for is trivial,
is not important, is not meaningful for others to hear.
I pray quite a bit. I admit my frequency could be better
and sometimes my reasoning more thankful instead of so needy.
Today I am writing down my prayers,
for everyone to see and hear…
One step closer to remembering
that it’s not the words I speak out loud,
but the heart behind those words.
Here is my prayer for 2007.
Lord, I pray today for my son
and his future, I ask that you be
with him in making good decisions.
That your hands guide him everyday to be the best
That he can be and to follow your ways.
I pray that you watch over him and keep him
Safe from the world and it’s uncertainty.
Help him to feel your presence and know that
His family and friends are here for him always.
I also pray for Joe, first and foremost I thank you
For helping us find each other. Thank you for his
Heart, may you keep his heart pure and clean.
I am praying that you watch over him as well, keep
Him safe when we are apart, remind him to
keep you and your words close to his heart.
You have sent me my soulmate,
May nothing tempt us and draw us apart.
Lastly, I pray for myself.
I am in constant need of
Your comfort to remind me that
each day is special and
That I need to make the best of
everything and appreciate
My family and show them love at all times.
Remind me that ,my worries should be few
and give me that peace of mind
That I need to relax and focus on my blessings.
Thank you for all my wonderful blessings,
for my family, for my
Friends and for your guidance in the
hard times and for the
Praise in the happy times.
I give all of this to you.
In your Name I pray today…Amen.
