This month's pocket letter for our swap here hosted by Rebecca. I had a lot of fun with this one.
First, I used up scraps I found in my stash, mostly Bo Bunny's Autumn papers and some Colorbok. I used Darice's Vine Pattern and Fall Leaves Swirl embossing folders. I then decided to distress the edges. NOTE TO SELF: Distress edges FIRST, then emboss! Some of the papers tried to tear so I had to re-enforce them gluing paper on the back.
First, special thanks to:
CJ for the metal leaves in pocket 1
Carri for the Wow! Vintage Peacock embossing powder I used on the dragonfly in pocket 4
My best friend Susie for the raffia in pocket 8
Sam (my oldest) for the wood shaving in pocket 3 and the leaf die in pocket 6
Dan (my youngest) for the 2016 Susan Bourdet bird calendar I fussy cut the birds from.
The oak leaves/acorn chippie in pocket 2 is Creative Embellishments.
Pocket 3 - burlap from HL. The little "dish" the chickadee is eating from is actually a piece of a windowsill diecut that I inked in. The food is tiny confetti from an edge punch I used a long time ago for something and kept in a little ziploc bag. I thought it made pretty good bird food! :-)
Pocket 4 - Paper flowers are old Creative Memories. I inked them up a bit with TH Fired Brick and used Bronzed Teal Beautiful Beads and Dark Red microbeads from Reneabouquets. Under the flower is a circle I cut out of drawer liner.
Pocket 5 - I can't remember where I got these flowers, I've had them for so long. The sprigs are from HL.
Pocket 6 - Flower from HL
Pockets 7, 8 and 9 are little shank buttons from HL. I LOVE these! I cut the shanks off to glue them down. The little wreath is one I've had for a very long time and can't recall the brand. I think I got it at Joann's. The chicken wire is from HL also. That pocket with the turkeys just cracks me up! I also used fingernail glitter from the dollar store for turkey feed. Under the pilgrims is actual corn silk from our garden and the little spray at the top is an old Jolee's Boutique sticker. Trim on the side is from my stash.
Thank you so much for visiting my gallery! I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!! xo
