The background idea came from Finnabair art files. I used clear gesso on the card, added dabs of acrylic paint and hit them with a shot of water to get the drip effect. I layered clear crackle paint on top with artisan powder to bring out the cracks. I painted the metal pieces with black gesso and used Finnabair's new waxes. Okay don't judge me. In keeping with February's theme "What's old is new again" I have two obsolete laptops I'm storing because I don't know what to do with them. So I took the oldest one apart and used the pause from the keyboard and part of the board from the inside. I just love the amazing blue color and texture of the piece. Of course, I added glass glitter and glass beads; I love the pop and texture the beads give. This is the first ATC that I used the playing card as the base and not paper. It's grundy, colorful, and texture filled. Really enjoyed the process.
