Some more of my older photos...my son at 5 1/2 months (he's 33 now!). I used Echo Park A Boys Life collection for this layout. The background card stock is white (black border added in photoshop to keep the edges visible). The Pensacola Beach sign was made with the Cameo with elements pop dotted on it. In order to get the colors of the sign to match, I scanned in a piece of the dotted paper and then using the eyedropper tool in the Silhouette software, I was able to make my sign with the same colors in the paper. The letters on the sign were also cut with the Cameo. The word Happy was cut with the Cameo, and the other tags are stickers from the EP collection. The bucket and pail were also cut with the Cameo. I layered the striped border on a piece of red card stock, and then added a narrow strip of the stripe on top of the yellow piece. Lots of faux stitching on this layout. I used a yellow and a red pen for doodling. On the circle portion of the top of the sign, I added three different sized brads...and also a heart shaped brad on the top right. Journaling is tucked behind the two photo with the yellow tag with Matthew's name on it...and reads:
Matthew, when you were just 5 ˝ months old we made our first trip from Fayetteville, Georgia to Pensacola Beach. You were just learning to sit up alone, but you still weren’t very steady. To help you out, I dug a little hole in the beach sand, and settled you in. That seemed to help you keep your balance a little better…the one drawback to this arrangement was that you kept eating sand! You were so fair-skinned that we had to keep an umbrella up over you whenever we took you out to the beach. That was the first year we vacationed with the Goetters (Mimi, Papa, Tom, Diane, and Angela – the girls were staying with Granny B. that year). We stayed in an octagonal shaped pink beach house. That house was washed away in Hurricane Ivan, but I’ll always have the memories of several great vacations spent in that house.
