I did this book as a sample for the LSS Scrappin' Good Times in San Dimas, CA. I used Daisy D's new FALL line of papers, flowers, buttons, and diecuts. The chipboard letters I used are from basic Grey, Heidi Swapp, Making Memories, Lil' Davis, and Scenic Route. The chipboard flourishes and photo turns are from Quick Quotes. I used the CTMH edge distresser on all the edges as well as Quick Quotes Powder Puff inks in Cappucino. I also used Chalk Cateyes from COLORBOX in Prussian Blue, Burnt Sienna, Olive Pastel, and Chestnut Roan. Large flowers are from Prima. Chipboard flowers were cut on the Accu-Cut diecutting machine at SGT.
The stamping was done using Technique Tuesdays new "Handful of Henna" stamp set. I stamped on paper, chipboard, and paper flowers. The binding is decorated with ribbons from my stash as well as fabric strips. The strips my family and I made from remnants from Jo-ann's we bought last year. We ripped them into strips so now I have this bin of all these different colored strips. Xaver actually tied all the ribbons and strips onto my project. Ribbons are from Lil' Davis, Making Memories, Close to My Heart, and Leaving Prints.
The book tells the story of our family. It is short and to the point. Everyone wants to know our story, especially since Xaver and I were divorced and then got back together. SO I wanted to do a book about it. I feel like I say the same words over and over but after time they are getting distorted. I want to write it all down before I forget and also so that Katie and Matt know who we made it through and how we came to be.
The whole book is 6x12 but I put in split pages too. I also trimmed some of the pages edges to follow the pattern of the paper. I bound the book with the Bind It All from Zutter.
