It's Gage's birthday today! I just can't believe he's 6! This picture was actually taken on Sunday during the mad dash for the easter eggs, but it went so well with my "movement" thought process i've got going on today. sniff, sniff. =) ------ JOURNALING: Wow. So many things come to mind
when I think of the word movement
and connect it with you. The first time
I ever felt you move when I was preg-
nant with you. The first time I felt you
move once you were born and I got
you in my arms. The first time you
moved toward me to give me a hug
or a kiss. The first time you squirmed to
get out of my arms when you learned
you were mobile. The first time you
ran to me after falling and getting
hurt. The first time you crawled in bed
with me and daddy after having a
bad dream. Your first attempts at
dancing while watching The Wiggles.
The way youíve almost always had to
pull your pants up when running be-
cause of your long, thin frame.
Your first time in the swimming pool
trying to learn how to stay afloat.
Your first attempts at climbing the
fence, roller skating, riding your bike,
riding your scooter, sliding down the
slide or dangling from the monkey bars. The first time you swung the
bat in a T-Ball game, kicked a soc-
cer ball, and threw a football. The
way you scratched when you had
the chicken pox and the way you
cuddled up on the couch with the
flu. But one thing that really comes
to mind these days is the move-
ment of time. I canít believe how
fast itís going and the lack of mercy it
has for (**typo fixed**) me as your mom.
Wow, six... already? I hope it goes
slower this year so I can savor some
of the new moments to come. Happy Birthday sweetie!
