Have used this die on two pages since receiving it, perfect embellishment for the pages that I tagged with this die.

  • Perfect for taking to a crop (15 February 2015)

I have two of these - I like that they fold completely flat when not in use since storage is limited for me. I use one for taking my 12x12 magnetic sheet w/larger then metal dies on them, stored in a large clear envelope - I have ten of these envelopes, and they fit nicely inside this sturdy tote, as well as my 12x12 glass mat. The second one I take usually place my version of kits to work on (i.e. photos, pulled papers, embellishments, etc.) to a crop. Easy to unpack when I get back home, and fold flat again to store.

    Awesome Purchase (17 February 2013)

I debated to purchase this machine because really the only reason I *wanted* it was because I thought it was cute and it matched my home decor :) I have had another manufacturer's die cutting machine that I have used for years and still works like a champ. And THEN I used this - WOW, what a difference a machine makes. So smooth and no little bumps in the road when cranking a die through.

Be sure to purchase all of the adapters (shims and plates) for use of other manufacturer dies, otherwise you will be waiting to use your machine like I had to once it arrived.

Perfect for tropical layouts (05 September 2011)

Love this color combination in papers for Hawaii layouts.

  • Hate it! (04 January 2011)

The surface is very slick and what I am cutting moves giving me crooked cuts and is very frustrating. It will be moved to my ever growing pile of discarded trimmers when the 18" Rotatrim I ordered soon arrives. Plus it goes through blades too quickly.

Only Pro: It folds for ease in storage.

  • Be Forewarned (02 June 2009)

I was very impressed when I first purchased this trimmer and recommended it to everyone. Now I am sorry that I did.

The gridlines wore off and the self-sharpening blade no longer cuts smoothly and until I purchase a new trimmer, I have to trim cuts with scissors.

Here is the reply I rec'd from MM when I contacted customer service:

Thank you so much for your email and purchasing a Making Memories Trimmer. We don't have a way to fix or restore the grid lines. We do not warranty our trimmers after 12 months of use due to normal wear and tear, therefore we are unable to replace it for you. We apologize for any inconvenience, and hope you have a nice day.

    Perfect (06 February 2009)

storage for those little guide booklets that come with the design cards, as well as a safe place to keep the design cards all in one place. I recommend this to anyone who is a collector of Slice design cards.
