Thanks for the comment on my photo. No, my dog isn't protective. He is so sweet and Westin doesn't care when he licks him either.

Kim my POD for the 8th was taken at the Indianapolis Zoo. I spent 6 hours there with friends today..normally we (kids & I) are done within 2 hours! I got to really look around today!

Aww, thanks for saying my fireworks photo went into your favorites. That's a nice feeling. :) And the Northern Lights have been pretty quiet up there, hey? I would love to see them in Alaska when they are really bright... we get them once in a great while, and I LOVE them.

Hi Kim! Thanks for your nice comments on my dog Adalae. To answer your question, she is a Shichon which is part Bichon Frise and part ShihTzu, aka a "Teddy Bear" dog. Maybe that's why she loves her "teddy bear" so much! She probably thinks it is another dog! She weighs 10 lbs, but she looks like she weighs a lot more with all that hair. She is a good doggie! Very spoiled though. I had never allowed pets in our house before, but 2 yrs. ago I let my children finally have a pet. I am so glad I did, because I don't know what I would do with out her!
BTW, I always enjoy looking at your photos. You takes some very nice pictures!

I am assuming the duck is wild. There is a group of ducks at the park that hang out in the creek or walk around the area, and this white duck is right along with them.

I think I have the right person now... posted on the wrong profile :) But, no, the UPS facility is not by my house... it's pretty close to my work, though.

Hi there Kim..The face planter in my garden is not stone but a heavy resin i am guessing. I have had him for at least 8yrs and actually won him at a meeting at work when i use to be at Cracker Barrel

Hi Kim, thanks for all of your sweet comments. The wind never stops blowing here. Right now at 10:33p, the wind speed is 8mph from the NE. It feels like being in a wind tunnel all the time. It is very annoying sometimes. Oh, BTW, John Wayne is my all-time favorite actor too. I sure miss his movies, westerns aren't the same although Sam Elliot & Tom Selleck do a pretty fair job. Hope you have a great night!! :)

You are welcome for the love. Thanks for answering my question, your wedding photo is beautiful. The sunset shot is in WA so it is pretty close to AK. Awesome areas we live in!! Have a blessed week. :)

you can buy the starter from that website and then the sourdough bread takes three days to make but is relatively easy.

Good Morning Kim! Here's the recipe for the Pasta @#$%*ioli. It's an Italian 'peasant' dish and my mom and dad had to force me to eat it as a kid...they were strict on certain things. Now I love it! ;o)
1 can small white beans
1 can diced tomatoes
fresh garlic (I used about 6 garlic)
basil (fresh if you have it or dry)
1/2 C tubetini pasta
salt and pepper
olive oil

Slice the garlic as thin as you can and saute in some olive oil. When it is slightly golden add the beans (undrained) and the diced tomatoes. Add the basil, salt and pepper and let simmer. In another pot boil the pasta till half way done. Add the pasta to the beans and let cook the rest of the way. Use the pasta water to add liquid to the dish as needed.

Thank you for your kind comments re: Mama's monument. Yes, that is Daddy's next to her. When the Good Lord calls me home, I will have a place next to Mama.
