This card with a picture with me in the drivers seat. My late husband and I bought this treasure in 1999. At the time my grandson (Josh was 10 years old) and family was with us at dealership. I told Josh that when grandma Joyce gets old and decrepit this car will be yours Not to long after that my husband died in a horrible accident.So needless to say, house mortgage and brand new car, I had to get a second job to pay for every thing. It was tuff and go for a few years to be able to hang onto Sally. People left and right kept telling my I was foolish to handing on to her. But I am a grandma that sticks to her word. Yup the day came when grandma Joyce became old (hehehe) and decrepit and I shipped the car out to California to my grandson. So grandma Joyce fulfilled her promise. This bday card is to Josh! Oh man, lots of thought, lots of paper, plus I prayed over each embellishment. On this envelope I love the roses, only took maybe 10 minutes to make. But to just clarify my statement of when I get OLD & decrepit, Every year on his bday he would call and ask if I were old and decrepit yet! Josh is the most precious grandson ever! Oh my dear friend, I got a lump in my throat reading your backstory. It is amazing what people go through in life. Bless you for sharing your story. How sweet of you to keep your promise to your grandson and gift him Mustang Sally.
