More fun than a barrel of monkeys! (13 May 2008)

I was so excited to recieve this and get started decorating it.
I gave myself two weeks to find the paper and get it done. It took me six.
I tried to follow the directions and make a template of the flowers and then cut them out but i was getting frustrated so I slapped some glue to the chipboard and stuck them to the paper. The little ones adhered well but the larger ones peeled off. So I grabbed some fine grit sandpaper and gave the flowers some texture and tried it again. It worked. Used an exacto knife to cut around the edges and it was done!
The only problem that I had, and this is only because i'm so anal about symetry, is that the vase is too tall for the length of the flower stems. I did not have any flowers as tall as the ones shown.
I would also recommend not using a hot glue gun for the buttons. I used it and the glue came up through the holes. Someone told me that it looked like dew drops.
Granted this was my first attempt at this but i will most definately do it again!

Tick Tock Who's afraid of a big ol' CROP (22 February 2008)

I had always seen the green crop-o-dile in the stores and catalogs. Love the funky green but didn't want to spend what I felt was big bucks on the set.
Weeks pass and I started getting ideas that involved eyelets. I started looking into the silent setters, the cheaper setters with lots of extra pieces and then adding up the cost.
Finally with a coupon I bought a pink crop-o-dile. After reading the back that the Crop-o-Dile can punch through chip board I was sold.
Taking it off the shelf brought me to reality of the weight of this wonderful tool. Don't let that throw you off.
So here I am a month later and I'm trying to tote this thing around. It's awkward and heavy and just doesn't "flow" in my tote bag. I finally found the case online AND it was on sale!
I thought what the hay. The green one looks comfy in there.
Purchased. Recieved. My Crop-o-Dile fits so snuggly in there and the 400 eyelets it came with will certainly be used for experiments.
The case snaps shuts firmly and has a little handle for carrying. But most of all it finally fits in my tote bag without argument!
Lesson learned is definately buy the case with the tool. I may have spent more than I bargained for but it's a lesson in life and I dont regret a penny.

The best thing since sliced bread (18 February 2008)

I got this bad boy for a project that involves many, many movie stubs. I'm very frugal when it comes to purchasing adhesives and when I saw this I just had to buy it. It's easy to use, easy to re-fill, and so much fun to share. There's no cutting because it removes the "waste" from around the item to become sticky, hence the name STICKER MAKER. True to it's title I would recommend this product to anyone who can't handle all the sticky dots and glue sticks.

Easier than it looks (18 February 2008)

This tool is amazing. Aside from it's complex appearance and heftiness, it work with very little effort.
The only thing that stops me from giving it a 5 star review is that it's limited to where you can punch. Similar to a single hole punch, you have limitations to the outer edge of paper. Other than that I'm very please with my purchase and can't wait for the matching carry case to come in the mail. :)
