  • Terrible Quality! (11 January 2022)

I have always loved working with Penny Black scenic stamps- until now. The rubber is not flat and even after stamping small sections as many as 10 times it is not possible to get complete coverage. I have used markers as well as two kinds of ink. It may be usable but will require an awful lot of coloring to fill in the missed spots from low spots in the rubber.

I strongly advise to not buy Penny Black rubber. The quality went downhill. Complaints to the company were largely ignored.

  • Love it (28 March 2021)

This is a high quality rubber stamp and is fun and easy to do. It just takes a background and done! I sponged my sunset behind the silhouette but it would also be great if you water colored or painted it. I was impressed with how thick the rubber is.

Even my replacement won't cut through. (16 January 2021)

When I received this die I hadn't used it for about 2 months. When I tried it wouldn't cut in my new Big Shot Plus. I ran it through several times and it still would not cut all the way through. I then tried new plates- nope, won't cut. Scrapbook.com was kind enough to send me a replacement. And it still won't cut. I passed it through 4 times, tried rotating the platform between passes, new plate again and not once did this die ever cut through.

I've lost faith in this brand. Quality is just not there.

Tooling is wrong on these. (30 November 2020)

This was an early Christmas present to me. Scrapbook.com has outstanding customer service. I received mine and no way would the platform roll through the machine. I owned a Big Shot for years so I'm very familiar with them. They immediately replaced my defective one and it's not much of an improvement. Wafer thing dies should use all adapters and that won't happen with this one. It does cut if I remove the thinner adapter but still, quality control on these is terrible. I would suggest something else until manufacturing has a better quality control in place.

    Fantastic machine. (24 November 2020)

I had the mini Minc and wanted the larger one to laminate. I was not disappointed. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I love to print and foil all my inside sentiments so I'm very pleased with this machine and recommend it to anyone who wants to foil.

  • Not the same quality (04 July 2020)

I am so fond of Penny Black brush stroke stamps and have used them for years. But production moved to Viet Nam. This is the second stamp I own and the second time I found the stamp impossible to work with. Often times the rubber is not flat and you have to press hard on the MISTI to get it to stamp. Definition is just not there even though it's a brush stroke. Hours with pencils and copics did not make this look any better. There is so much texture in the rubber that coverage is difficult to achieve. I should have given it one star but gave two stars since I just love the image. I have one more new stamp and I'm wondering how much trouble that one will be.

  • Poorly etched (04 February 2018)

The image on this is just beautiful and highly detailed. But why Inkadinkado did such a lousy job with etching is beyond me. This is too detailed for shallow etching in the rubber. I tried stamping it four different times and get a blob with all details obliterated. Then tried with a lighter gray with the same result. Fair warning, what you see on the block is not what you will see when you stamp it. I strongly advise buying this stamp as cute as it is due to poor quality.

  • Fabulous! (23 September 2013)

At one point scrapbook.com offered these free and I got them. SO glad I did. The one sheet, third one from the left I have used over and over for so many different projects. It's wonderful neutral color works with everything and of course you can always change that too.

  • Fantastic! (26 January 2012)

I purchased some for scrapbooking and plan on getting more. It can be used with any photos, any occasion, any colors! So easy to use-the layouts are simply because this paper does ALL the work. The neutral colors take the guess work out of what to do. Thanks Bo Bunny!

  • Super TOOL (01 September 2010)

This tool is Fabulous! I've been using it since the day I received it. If something ever happened to it I'd order another one in a heartbeat. I used to skip distressing edges because of the time it took to do by hand- Not any more- I distress everything. It even did a good job on thin paper, like typing paper.

As far as the noise goes- well because it does not stay on I did not find it a problem at all.

Perfect for any scrapbooker (30 June 2010)

I discovered these by accident and now that's all I use. They are large enough to accommodate 35 pages that are heavily embellished and even more than that if there are less bulky embellishments. The three rings make it easy to move pages around. The color selection is fantastic. I just received one that is defective but scrapbook.com was phenomenal in handling the damage quickly.
Highly recommended- you won't be disappointed!!!

  • Nice but does not hold much (16 June 2010)

The album appears well made but does not hold very much. Because of the "box" design you can't overstuff it like I usually do (LOL). I love pages with lots of embellishments so my pages are usually quite thick.
Just not fond of this box design. It really would be a 5 star product if it was larger.
