On September 5th 2019, we will be retiring the forums and replacing them with a new discussion platform. We know that you may have questions about this change and how it might affect your experience at Scrapbook.com.
Why are the forums being retired and replaced?
The company that created and maintained the forum software no longer exists and the software is no longer compatible with the Scrapbook.com website. Rather than remove the forums entirely, we decided to replace them with a new discussion platform.
What will happen with existing threads/topics?
Some existing threads and topics are not compatible with the new discussion platform, and will not be transferred to the new system. After the switch, some past topics will not be accessible, however, we're going to do our best to bring over as many as possible.
What will happen with topics I've marked as "favorites"?
Existing favorites are not compatible with the new platform, therefore "favorite topics" will not be carried over into the new platform. You will be able to mark favorite topics and favorite posts in the new system.
What will happen with my private messages?
Your private message history will no longer be accessible. If there is any information you need from your current private messages, please make sure to save that information before the old system is retired. You will be able to send new individual private messages after the switch.
Will this switch affect or alter any other areas of the Scrapbook.com site?
This will only affect the existing forum pages. All of your gallery images, favorites inside the gallery, and other areas of the website will be retained and will not be impacted.
What date will the forums be retired?
We plan to retire the forums and launch the discussion platform on September 5th 2019.
We want to thank you for your participation in the Scrapbook.com forums. We also want to let you know that we're sorry for any disruption and disappointment this might cause. We understand that this is a place where you build friendships and a community where you feel welcome. We hope that you will continue to communicate and share on the new platform.
If you have additional questions regarding how this may affect you, please reach out to us here.
