    • I'm sure you could use it, with a converter. I was stationed in the UK, when I was in the military. I used converters for everything that needed one. By: SerendipitousLife (22-Sep-15) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • Mine has the standard USA plug on it. I am not sure if they ship to the UK or not. But the plug in wouldn't work for you. Maybe email customer service for more assistance? • I have the MINC machine and I haven't used it for a little. I foiled a sentiment yesterday and the foil completely covered the whole page and you and the sentiment was not readable. I had the setting on 3, was that too high for to use. The sentiment was printed on Neena Classic -- was that too light weight wise as foil ended up been on the carrier sheet as well as completely covering the cardstock.?   By: CraftCreations (24-Sep-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • I realize you asked this a long time ago but just in case you haven't found an answer, you didn't say if you had the mini minc or the Big Mama, a setting of 3 is usually great for the mini minc. The large machine typically needs setting four When you say you foiled a sentiment, if a sentiment was printed with toner ink, and it foiled the entire piece of cardstock, it sounds like you may have used hot foil rather than toner foil. Is that a possibility? Hot foil is designed to be used with the metal foil stamps in machines like the spellbinders glimmer machine, or the Gemini foil press. Where you heat the metal die (not a cutting die) on a platform along with your foil and the cardstock, then you pick the machine platform up and run it through your die cutting machine just for the pressure. That type of foil can't be used on a toner printed image that you run through the minc machine. You need toner for foil for that. By: Stampindebs (15-Mar-21) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Will the Minc machine use the TODO dies also?   By: Vickeyphelps (09-Feb-17) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I'm not sure I understand your question.
If you are asking if you can run a die through the Minc like you would a die cutting machine to cut out a shape then the answer is no. The Minc is not a cutting machine for dies.
If your question is can you run a die cut through the Minc machine to add foiling to it, then the answer to that question is yes, as long as the materials you die cut are not too thick to fit into the machine properly. If the cardstock or paper has a laser printed pattern on it then the foiling will only stick to those area where the toner is printed on your die cut.
I hope this answers your question. By: JenCinAZ (09-Feb-17) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • Will a small laminator work for this process if I purchase the foil and the application folders??   By: khardy64 (17-Dec-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I used a laminator and Thermoweb foils on a laser printed design for my Christmas cards a couple years ago. The end result was not a perfectly foiled area. My understanding from reading about the different machines available is that the laminator I used was not as hot a Minc can achieve with its multiple settings and that is why some of my foiled items came out a bit more rustic than expected. So the short answer is YES, but it may or may not be perfect depending on your machine. By: JenCinAZ (09-Feb-17) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • I wouldn't recommend it. The Minc has different heat settings for the different things you can foil. A laminator has only one heat setting and it might not get hot enough to set the foil to your project. By: Joanie R (20-Dec-16) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • My minc machine starter kit didn't have the folder with it. I was wondering, is there a way I can buy just the folder somewhere, or use something in place of it? I don't want to break it by using something that shouldn't be used. I've had it for quite a while, but I quit card making shortly after receiving it. So, I didn't even know it wasn't included. I got it out to use for Christmas cards, and no envelope. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.   By: sharbogast (15-Nov-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • i purchased the mini minc starter kit and it had included the transfer sheet, i would check and see what came in your starter kit and contact where you bought the item and see if they could send you the transfer sheet. you can purchase transfer sheets on their own and they are reasonably priced, i purchased from scrapbook.com three different sizes of transfer folders by hedi swapp for my mini minc just to have extra and it was a incredible price. because you spent money and bought a minc i would recommend you buy a transfer sheet they are not a lot of money and it is just something you need. that is just my two cents. others may tell you other things to save you some coin but i really think its best to buy items that go with items. i do believe if you bought the starter kit from scrapbook.com it should have come with the transfer sheet they are amazing at customer care.. so i would recommend looking at what came with your bundle first. i do hope this helped. • Thank you. I will purchase some extras. I have been all through everything that came in the box, and I just can't find it anywhere. I did purchase from scrapbook.com, but it's not a big deal. Now that I know I can buy them separately, that helps tremendously. Thank you!! By: sharbogast (20-Nov-16) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. • It really depends on what your crafting. I'm a card maker, when I scrapbook I don't use 12 x12 paper I use project life. Plus it really depends on your space the 6" just works better for me. I hope this helps. By: Sheila Brown (30-Nov-15) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • The Minc Mini will only fit pages that are 6" across. You can fit longer pages lengthwise if you get the 12x12 page carrier and cut it in half to 12x6. By: himimily (19-Feb-16) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
