Great question! The Adirondack Alcohol Ink Cardstock has a gloss finish on front and a matte finish on the back. Yupo paper is not really paper at all. Well, at least not traditional paper. It is a synthetic/plastic "paper" that can be cut but not torn. It does not absorb ink but rather alcohol inks sit on the surface. Hope this helps to explain the differences! Adirondack Alcohol Ink paper is a glossy, coated paper. Alcohol Ink Yupo paper is a synthetic, smooth surface (technically not paper since it is synthetic and not made from wood pulp).
