Questions & Answers

  • I have some metal charms which I want to change to ivory color. Is there an alcohol ink color that would work for this? I don't seem to see anything that even resembles ivory. Thank you for your help.   By: Judy N (19-Jan-17) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • You can try using acrylic paint and then seal them. That's what I do. It may take a few coats of the paint depending on the coverage you want and the base metal color. • I am not aware of an ivory alcohol ink by Ranger, but you could mix white with a scant bit of yellow. I would strongly suggest coating your metal pieces with white gesso first. If you are not set on an alcohol ink, then gesso plus acrylic paint or a spray pigment from Lindy's Stamp Gang or Prima's Color Bloom.
