  • Does the foam start to crumble apart easily? I'm worried that with continuously going over edges it will crumble easily.   By: Tstyles (17-Sep-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • I found that because there's not a hard edge, but the rounded edge, it glides over paper edges and stencils without crumbling. By: NMWatt (13-Oct-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • No crumbling at all!, I even washed some of mine, and they were still in great shape after I did that. Very impressed with this product for applying ink over stencils! By: Melissa (17-Dec-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • They fit nicely in the 5x7 Clear Craft and Photo Storage Case link or the 4x6 Clear Craft and Photo Storage Case link depending on how many you own. The 5x7 easily holds more than 50 refill sponges stored on their side. I hope that helps. By: Scrapbook.com (16-Sep-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • I just purchased these, and they work great, but what is the proper way to clean them? The way I've been cleaning them- with soap and water- has already ruined one of the applicators after just one use. I don't plan to continue to use them if they're only going to be destroyed after one use. Help!   By: Dragonflier (05-Nov-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Hello! You can wash them lightly....however, ink will stain the sponges so they will never be completely clean. We make it affordable to use one for each color! By: Scrapbook.com (06-Nov-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • They are quite inexpensive. My suggestion, if you don't want one for each color, is to assign a colored tip to a color family - light blue, dark blues. That way you don't have to spend time cleaning, but rather crafting. :) By: nyingrid (05-Nov-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • I saw a photo that the applicators are sitting in one of the awesome ColorCase boxes.
What size of Case will fit the applicators handles? The .5 oz or the 1 oz?
I was considering digging out my old Tim Holtz rotary thing that held his applicators for them, but would prefer the Color Case.
I have 2 different Scrabook.com blending tools and I'd like to know, if possible, what applications are they meant for?
I have the above ink blending tool with the domed applicators and the SBC Stencil Brushes. The description states that these domed applicators can do stencils. Sooooo, do I still use the brushes too?
Thanks for your help.   By: scramblinrosie (22-Oct-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • As long as the craft storage unit you want is at least 1 1/2 inches high, you'll be fine.
These domed sponges are an improvement to the flat round blenders. They also fit the old
dauber tools, no need to purchase new ones. I hope this answers your question. Happy Crafting By: StampsNTx (24-Oct-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • Can these be used with gilding waxes, like Nuvo's gilding wax, using it on a raised surface? Like a card put through a folder?   By: Misslradar (23-Oct-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Hello! It may work okay. It's designed to use for blending inks. It has a sponge foam top so it may just push the wax around into a thinner layer.
I hope this helps! By: Scrapbook.com (24-Oct-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

Could these be used with embellishment mousse like on a 3 d folder?   By: User (19-Oct-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Hello! It may work okay. It's designed to use for blending inks. It has a sponge foam top so it may just push the mousse around into a thinner layer. If you use a mousse it may make the sponge "hard" when dry...so you would have to throw it away and not be able to reuse like you could with inks. Mousse might work better with a tool such as a spatula or something similar. I hope this helps! By: Laura_G (23-Oct-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • I purchased enough of these domed foam applicators so that I can have a dedicated one for each of my die ink pads. In that case, must I clean these with soap and water after each use? Or can I just get some of the ink off on scrap paper before storing? I am just using a clear plastic 2-dozen egg carton for storage.   By: golfergal56 (27-Jan-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • We would recommend using one per color and we don’t wash them at all, we just pick up the sponge and go when we're ready to use the same color again. Hope this helps! • Any chance we will get an item of just the tools in bulk? I would like to get a tool for each of my distress colours but don’t need so many replacement foams (originally ordered 6 tools and got like 50 additional foamies). Would be nice since I need another 50 just tools no refills   By: fabulous feline (20-Jan-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • Hello and thank you for your question! That is a great suggestion! We currently do not have any of the tools sold as just bulk tools/handles. We will certainly look into this and thank you for your suggestion! By: Scrapbook.com (21-Jan-20) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. • I sent an email to customer service about this same thing when they first came out. I’d love a way to buy the handles in bulk. PLEASE Scrapbook.com, give us the option of doing that. • How would you color label the individual dome pads using the 5x7 & 4x6 photo cases?   By: palmettolady52 (17-Sep-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
This question is about a related product.
    • I have a separate box for each set of ink pads. I have one for Tim Holtz Distress Oxides, one for my SBC Hybrid Inks, etc. Each box is labeled with the type of ink pads and then the domed blender pads are kept in the same order my ink storage is in my cabinet. Maybe not the perfect way, but it's what I am using for now. Hope that helps. If you come up with some amazing way to store them, please share. We would love to hear how you solved the storage issue. I tried velcro on the bottom of the ink pads but the domed foam is just a little too thick to allow them pads to sit flat or stack properly. I hope that helps. By: Scrapbook.com (17-Sep-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • I saw a post once where they attached the individual pads directly to the bottom of the ink pads using Velcro. Not sure if this would work with the domed pads, but just a thought.
