Hello, the black ink will not disappear but will be covered by the embossing powder. If the ink is not fully covered you may see it under the embossing powder and it can alter the color of the embossing powder slightly due to the ink being black. Hello, these pens are similar to embossing ink pads that you would use with heat embossing powder. To use these pens, write or design your pattern using the pen, sprinkle embossing powder over the ink, remove any excess powder, an then apply heat with an embossing gun, and the embossing powder will melt and create a raised, glossy effect.
