How far apart are the holes? Im trying to find sleeves I can cut down horizontally for an unusually sized album.   By: User (20-Apr-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • The holes are 4 inches apart. I have punched holes in 12 X 12 inch page protectors that only have 2 holes. It worked well. I have also made my own spacers for albums out of cardboard, seemed to work well. By: Bootsie (21-Apr-20) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. • How archival/acid free protectant are these protectors? Also, do you have any spray that you spray on the actual paper (I want to preserve hand written letters on notebook paper with pen/pencil) ?   By: coffeebreakwhatever (28-May-18) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I’m not certain about how archival/acid free these protectors are, I’m guessing they’re safe though, especially given what many of us use them for. About your question regarding a spray to preserve handwritten notes, if I were you, I’d choose to laminate the notes versus spraying anything onto them, I just wouldn’t chance it, but that’s just my honest opinion. • Would these be similar weight to staples 8.5x11 page protectors or closer to the heavy duty ones? I'm trying to get a feel for their weight and durability. Love CTMH ones, love this price point! I don't want flimsy ones that holes tear out easy. TIA!   By: mblmowse (09-Sep-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • Not familiar with Staples, but these are NOT flimsy. Probably more medium-weight than heavy duty, but I wouldn't worry about them tearing. By: bikefan56 (11-Sep-16) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • Hi! Has anyone went from the Creative Memories style scrapbooking to ring albums with page protectors and if so do you like it better and why?   By: mzperky (28-Dec-15) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
This question is about a related product.
    • I am one of those that converted! I have been extremely happy with the 3-ring albums. I use We R Memory Keepers pretty exclusively now. They are so versatile. It's much easier to add material in even after you have "finished" a book (overall, I think they allow for more material in a single book too!). Also, there are 4x6 photo insert pages (12 photos to a page front and back) that make things go even quicker. We have a huge volume of photos, so I don't have as much time to be super creative with every single topic. Having the option of just slipping photos into the sleeve pages is wonderful, but if you want, you can even be creative with those as well! And, for those pages where you need a solid sheet (that can then go into the page protector) these 3-rings are fabulous! They allow for a greater variety of page types within the same book. I haven't looked back since CM fell off the radar. Good luck!! By: samma07 (29-Dec-15) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • I switched from Creative Memories to 3-ring scrapbooks a number of years ago because as I scrapbook for 5 grandkids, I need to easily add to past sections without the hassle of undoing hinge -type or post bound books. I love the 3-ring style By: Linda Myers (20-Jun-17) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • Are these page protectors strong enough to slit when using flip flops by close to my heart? (Often It is necessary to slit the page protector to access what is inside or to pull pictures through, so i'm wondering if the plastic is heavy enough.)   By: Colleen1953 (17-Nov-14) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • I don't recommend putting a slit on these protectors. I sometimes put the flip flops on the outside. ctmh protectors are thicker so one can put slits in them. By: skmtdgns (18-Nov-14) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • I use 12x12 albums and like to mix my page sizes. Will these 8 1/2x11 fit in a 12x12 album?   By: JenGreer13 (20-May-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • The 8 1/2 X 11 page will fit the 12X12 Album/Binder (three rings). The height (11 inches) will be fine, the width (8 1/2) will be 3 1/2 inches less but I have at least a couple other sizes in my binders. I have eight (8) binders (12X12) filled to capacity, no more room for pages and have had them a long time as an amateur photographer. And yes, I am 75 years old. I also bought a good HP scanner, a 2TB External Hard Drive and spent six weeks, 8 hours a day to scan
all the photographs. I now have the photographs available to all my family members via Google+, so everyone can copy and print and save on their PCs.

      Hope this helps.

      Regards
