I got this little tool from a friend years ago. At first I thought "why the heck do I need this?" Before long I realized what a handy tool it is to have on hand. I mostly use it to make holes for brads (be careful - it's very sharp!). You can also punch holes for hand stitching. One thing you should never do is try to clean out your eyelet hole punch with it. I broke the tip off mine doing that so it no longer punches nice clean holes. I'll have to invest in another because I use it a lot.
I used to use a thumbtag to make holes for brads and then I found this tool at a store. I wasn't so sure at first whether this would be better but ever since I've tried it, I've used it a lot!!!
It is so easy to make a hole with this whether you're going to use a brad or to make stitches.
It is really sharp and I always keep the little protective cap on it came with.
I'd recommend this to anyone!
I bought this tool after I took a beginner class for scrapbooking and it's been my favorite tool ever since! I actually used my first one so much that I wore it out and had to replace it. I use this tool for everything from piercing paper for a brad to helping pull a thread through after sewing on a page to cleaning out the tip of my glue bottle. I'd be so lost with out this tool!

Gone are the days of me using a pin, pen, or random semi-sharp object to poke holes. I reach for this paper piercer all the time. I'd wanted one for a long time and once I finally got it, I would never give it up. I wish they sold them in a variety of diameters, as sometimes I'd like a larger hole with the same ease and convenience of this tool.

I have the whole set from MM that this piercer comes in and I have to say that out of the whole set this is the tool that I reach for the most, by far. For every brad I use and every hand stitching job I do (yes, i said HAND stitching... I don't machine... LOL) I grab my trusty paper piercing and pierce my paper as needed. love this thing!

I am never with out this little tool! Next to a pair of good scissors this is the one item that every scrapbooker must have. It's just not for punching holes for brads, I also use it when I can't get fibers into button holes, making stitches, I even use it to get diecuts off my cutting mat(carefully that is). It truely is a must have:)

I got this last year for Christmas with the whole kit. I really like this one the best. Even tought the first one i broke. The balled side is great for puting rubons on a page, and the piercer side is great for just what it is pierceing holes. I use it to make a hole for my brads mostley.
I use this tool often! It's not just for piercing paper! I use it to; remove sticker backs when I've die cut letters, pierce holes in paper for brads, pierce holes in primas that don't have holes, and pierce holes in vellum. Oh my the list of uses is endless! Very sturdy well made tool!
I love this tool. I haven't used the stylus side, but I use the paper piercer side for making holes for my brads. It's very handy and can easily be switched from piercer to stylus, but sometimes it falls off. But its a great tool if you use a lot of brads like me. Perfect for on the go.
This little tool is simply fantastic! Since i bought it, i do so many more things. I can quite easily say that i use it everytime i scrap now. It's sharp and just so handy. If you don't have one, you really should. I'll never regret picking it up :)
You dont realize how much you need this tool until you own it. It has helped me in so many situations, it is one of the top 5 tools used in my scrapbook room.
It is meant for piercing holes, but you find so many more uses for it.
i do a lot of stitching on my pages.....and at first I used a big needle (deadly to my poor fingers)...this has been a life-saver! Definitely an item that should be in everyone's most useful top 5 tools used in scrapbooking :o)

I used to use a piercer for embroidery on paper, before I bought this tool.
This is just a 2 in 1 tool!
One is a piercer and the other is a stylus! So useful tool, I think.
This is now in my tools bag for everyday use.

Wasn't sure if i would use this tool, i bought it after a frustrated weekend of piercing things, however i'm so glad i did, i love the tool and i really use the piercing side more then i thought i ever would.
I use this tool all the time-for of course, piercing paper, but also it is useful to bend down the backs of brads without poking your fingers! Extremely useful when you have a lot of brads on a page!

So, i have used a couple different paper piercers and MM by far makes the best one!
It is substantial and doesn't move around when you're trying to use it and it makes the perfect hole size!

This tool makes it very easy to get small holes where you need them. I always use it whenever I need to put a brad anywhere. The tip is very very sharp, so be careful.

I got this product in the MM tool kit and was thoroughly confused. Eventually, I grew to learn the usefulness of the tool.
I bite my nails A LOT. They are extremely short and that makes it virtually impossibly to peel things off (such as already stuck stickers) So whenever I misplace a sticker or embellishment that is small, I use the piercer to get it off for me!
Also, when I first got my cricut I was going to buy the spatula (that gets the die cuts off the page) but I soon realized that I could use the piercer to get underneath the edges of each letter/shape really easily no matter the size and it pulls it right off!
Great product, so many uses!
This great little tool has saved my finger lately. My old piercer didn't have a cover so I was always sticking myself or getting scratched with it. With Making Memories they designed the piercing tool to store inside the handle when the stylus is in use, so it keeps me from pricking my fingers when I'm reaching for my other tools. I do think that in time it may become loose since this is a plastic tool, with use it may stretch and ware...but for now it works like a charm.
I JUST BROKE THE PAPER PIERCER I HAVE BEEN USING FOR YEARS. THIS IS A NEW MODEL BUT THE SAME COMPANY MAKES IT..I HOPE IT CAN WITHSTAND MY ABUSE! A PAPER PIERCER IS A MUST FOR ME! HURRY UP MAIL LADY!
I agree it makes nice holes. However, if you plan on making a lot of holes it isn't the most comfortable tool to use. If it had a soft gripper, it would be great.

This is an ok paper piercer. The problem with it is when you remove the cap, the piercer/stylus part comes off with the cap and doesnt stay in the holder part. Other than that it works ok.
Love the paper peircer. The only downfall is that sometimes the end (which is reversible) falls out. Other than that, it makes great holes that I've used for stitching and to add brads.
