My Tim Holtz Non-Stick Micro Serrated Scissors are 2.5 years old and I have NEVER had to have them sharpened and they are nearly as sharp as the day I got them! I adore the versatility of these scissors--they can handle tough paper, even chipboard/grungeboard with ease, but also have a small tip and the sharpness to be used for detailed cutting. Also, these scissors are great it you tend to be accident prone (like I am) they do not easily cut your skin like some more "knife-like" scissors. (All scissors are incredibly sharp and should be used with caution, especially around children. These are NOT child-proof scissors and may not be suitable for children.) BUY these scissors, it is worth the $12 investment--I have not replaced them in 2.5 years and unless I lose them (which I am also prone to doing) I do not anticipate having to replace them anytime soon!

Is it wrong to say that I am in love with a pair of scissors? Well, wrong or not, I just can't help myself. These are the very best scissors I've ever used for paper crafting. The serrated edge makes all the difference. The cushion grips really do keep your hand from tiring so easily. I've had covers for my scissors before but this one actually "snaps" into place and doesn't slide off. I'm thrilled to own these and honestly don't know if I will ever use anything else for my detail work now that I've experienced these fantastic scissors. Thank you Tim Holtz!

I've purchased more scissors than I care to admit, but I'm happy to share that I've found the cream of the crop with these Tim Holtz all-purpose babies.
Four things I LOVE about them:
1) The blades don't get gummed up when cutting adhesives
2) The blades have fine-tipped points for precision cutting
3) The blades were able to cut through the ends of brad prongs (I'd be careful using them with thicker metal and I'm not going to try just for this review...sorry:)
4) The colored handles are visible on the most cluttered of surfaces.
It only took me a few tries to get adjusted to the large handles (that's what makes them great for right or left-handers).
Thanks Tim, these are GREAT scissors!

I own two pairs of these, one in my tote and one in my at-home tools. They're SO good, I want to make sure I have a backup pair!! The handle is comfortable. The non-stick coating on the blades is quite good. The serrated edge is sharp and has cut through everything I've asked of it. My first pair is over a year old and shows no wear and no warping. The only reason I own any other pair of scissors is that the serrated edge is no good for detail cutting on paper.
These scissors are so good that I had to order a pair for my husband!! He needed non-stick scissors and LOVES these.
I didn't think I even needed a new pair of scissors as I've collected stationery for about 20 years and have millions, but I watched a video on scrapbook.com and decided to get them to see what the fuss was about and I am not disappointed. These cut through everything you can think of, I use them them for everything (probably a no-no but whatever :P). They cut through brads nicely too when the ends are too long and stick out (when near the edge of tiny embellishments) which I love. So glad I got these. They're a dream to use.
I got these sissors a few weeks ago and they are the best of all the sissors I have ever bought. I have arthritis and fibromyalgia, so I get tired easily and my hands cramp with smaller sissors. Using sissors with larger finger holes is more comfortable, but makes it difficult to make fine detail cuts. When I saw these sissors, I knew I had found the best of both worlds and I was right! They cut beautifully and my hands do not cramp. The blades are very sharp and the adhesives do not stick to them. Thank you Tim Holtz!
No, seriously. THE best. Period. I love, love, love them.
For the first time ever, the scissored challenged person than I am cut an oval by HAND without getting funny jagged bits.
I think it's the large handles. They also do an excellent job getting into teeny places due to the pointed ends.
My formerly favorite scissors have been relegated to the crochet bag, to snip yarn. I've threatened every member of my family with bodily harm if they remove these from my scrap desk, and have considered chaining them there.
Yes, they're really that good!!!
I was using some inexpensive off-brand scissors to cut the excess rubber off the edges of a stick-on stamp, and I was having trouble with it. What a difference when I switched to the Tim Holtz scissors! These scissors open and close like a dream, so smoothly without effort, which is great for arthritic hands. They had no trouble cutting through the thickness of the rubber, and the adhesive didn't make a sticky mess on the blades. I love the big handles, too.
I won these scissors in the NSD prize pack and I am so thankful I did! I probably would have never bought these on my own, just because I hadn't ever heard about them. Everyone talks about the Cutterbee Scissors. Well, if you have ribbon, even wire, something delicate to cut than these are by far the scissors for you. The Cutterbee's are great for fine details, but they don't compare to these with cutting other things. I love these scissors!!!
These are now my favorite scissors! They are extremely easy to use and super sharp! I love the grip feel as it cuts and the extra wide opening for the fingers, I love it! Very comfortable and the protective cover is a plus! I am very accident prone, but because I made a habit of putting the cover back on (which pops on to secure it), I have saved my fingers from a nasty cut or poke! Really love this item! You wont regret owning this!
These scissors are easy to manipulate in tight cuts and also have the comfort grip to make scrapbooking crops nicer and non stick blades so that they don't get nasty with adhesive. I am not quick to buy new products when they come out, but after using these in a CKC class, I had to run out and get myself and my scrapbooking buddies each a pair. It is all my favorite features of my previous scissors all combined in one.
I love these! They are so sharp and cut to the exact end of your line. Very sharp so watch for control over any length of line as they might slide through your paper.
I also found it weird that the "flexible grip" was for the outside edges of the handle - not what I am gripping when I cut. Perhaps it's meant for those with problems to hold on the outside except for the thumb?
A wonderful pair of scissors.
I purchased these scissors and am very impressed with them. I like the fact that my hands fit into the handle comfortably, they are sharp enough to cut ribbon as well as paper, I also like the fact that they have a non stick surface especially since I cut a lot of foam tape. I like them so well that I plan to order another pair and I would highly recommend them to anyone for any hobby or use.
These scissors will definitely save you time and frustration. I can use these to trim around small paper and embellishments (where as before I would have to use a craft knife). You can edge right up next to the item you are trimming and cut clean edges. It's amazing. They also have a super comfy grip and doesn't tire my hands as quickly. Love 'em!

This is the third pair I have bought for myself. I keep one for scrapbooking, one for crocheting and now, one at work. I even bought my boss a pair for her birthday since she was using mine whenever she could! Everyone should have at least one pair. They stay sharp, they don't get gummy, they're easy to hold and they'll cut almost anything.
My wife bought our first pair of these for craft projects. I kept stealing them for jobs around the house (cutting wire, clipping things, etc). After a while, I gave in and bought my own pair. Not sure if they were meant to be "all-purpose scissors" but these little things are phenomenal. Better than anything I've found at Home Depot.
You want to fall in love? Use these scissors on anything and you just might do that. The micro serrated blade gives delicate and even cuts through even chipboard... what a great asset for making books! The tip on these is not quite as narrow as I'd like, but the accuracy and strength of the blades more than makes up for it!
I love, love, love these scissors! The serrated edge allows the scissors to be kept still as you go around curves and small spots. They are weird at first, but you will love them when you get them!!
PS: i have a collection of Creating Memories scissors which are wonderful and very sharp, but the Tim Holtz' are BETTER!!
I actually got this as part of a gift from this site for National scrapbooking day and I just looooove them! they had been on my wish list for a while and now I don't know how I did without them! They are very comfortable to hold and have the feel of big scissors but can do very detailed work. highly recommend
I bought these scissors because they were developed by Tim Holtz. He is a fantastic alternative paper artist I have every watched perform "magic." These scissors carry his name and they are wonderful. They cut everything from paper to rubber stamps and do it very well. I am so glad I ordered them.
I seriously love these scissors! I am terrible at cutting out shapes and these scissor make it seem so easy!! they are easy to use and I love that they come with a cover. (my kids like to steal scrap supplies) Oh and the handle is so comfy!! You have to have these scissors!!
First I should start out by thanking SB.com, these awesome scissors were part of my prize package from NSBD!! I love the precision cut. Another great feature is so far nothing has stuck to them, I have cut through glue dots even! I feel no need to try any other scissor.

Tonight I did a LOT of tracing, cutting and trimming. I could not believe how great these scissors are. They are honestly the best craft scissors I've ever owned. Not only do they easily trim tight or narrow spots, but my hands did not hurt after a couple hours of cutting.
I was a pretty life long devotee of a pair of spring action scissors. Used these at a class and realized how incredibly versitile they are. For one thing, they cut close, REALLY close, to whatever you are working on. They are also self sharpening and non-stick. Love them!
I love these scissors! I have 2 other pair (different brands) that I thought worked wonderfully. Then I got these... and boy was I surprised! They are so much better! Love the sharp tiny tip for fussy cutting, and they are just so comfortable to hold and use. Go Tim!
This is the best scissors ever! I've been suffering with sticky residue and dull blade on my old scissors BUT not with this one. I can cut paper, ribbon, and sticky tape with no problem. I want to buy another one just because I love it so much.
These scissors are comfortable in my hand, they are sharp, and I like the padded handles and the cover that comes with them.
I am trying to get a collection of tools that not only work well but that goes well with other Tim Holtz' tools.
A scissor that actually works!!!!
This scissor is PERFECT to cut ez mount, stamps or anything sticky!
Easy to clean! My hand love it, you can cut a long time and there is no marks on your fingers!
I simply love it!!!

They cut everything from wire to tissue- and then self sharpen! Went to CE and had Tim explain why he invented them. Bought a pair and loved them so much I bought a dozen pairs for teacher gift. They are AMAZING!
I have tryed many types of scissors but this pair is the best all around. They are very sharp and has a very good point. They can cut through cardboard like butter. I hope to have at least 3 pair before long.
I love, love, love, love these tim holtz scissors!!!!! They cut like butter and the handles are so comfortable!!!! My husband has his eyes on it so I am going to buy him one before he looses a finger!!!!
I'm not really good at cutting things out. However these scissors have helped me make things much better. It cuts clean lines and are very comfortable! Thank you Tim Holtz, Susan and Scrapbook.com!
Fussy cutters you won't be disappointed with these! Great grip and so easy to use. I've had mine for a couple years, use them for everything and they're still as sharp as ever. A great investment!
love these scissors. absolutely fantastic for trimming rubber. these scissors do not get all gunked up. love the large handles and have a lot less hand stress when using for long periods of time.
I am thinking about buying another pair so they will be on each side of my work table. When I cut something sticky they don't get gummy, or hard to clean. Good product!
These scissors are everything the description says they are. They are comfortable to use, cut in tight places, and adhesives do not stick to them. Wish I had purchased them long ago.

I love the big handles and the tiny blades. I have found them much easier to use for intricate cutting than my other small scissors. I think they will prove a good investment.
they are perfectly comfortable with this huge rubber(I think it is rubber?) handle and they cut very well and without effort.I love my new tool and I recommend it ,of course!
It feels like you're cutting thru butter whatever you cut! Love them..several girls tried them at a scrapbook class and they all wanted them, including the instrutor!
These are truly awesome with their soft grip, their tip cover and their ability to cut through even tough stuff such as wire and thick cardboard.
Used these in CKU-Provo this week and HAD to have them. The best investment I've made since I started scrapbooking. You gotta have them!

I use these to cut through my heavier papers, chipper board etc. They also work great with adhesives, they don't get all sticky icky!

I ordered these after watching some card=making tutorials using these scissors. They are indeed very sharp. Unfortunately for my arthritic hands, the blades are so tight it is almost impossible for me to open and close the handles. Some scissors have an adjustable screw in the middle; these do not, so they are useless to me.
I'm sure they're fine for normal folks with more hand strength. I do not recommend them if you have tender or weak hands.
I borrowed a pair of the Tonic Tim Holtz scissors while I was at an art retreat and loved them. I purchased a pair during that time and after 15 minutes using them they fell apart in my hands. I am very disappointed.
