Yes, I'm hooked! This is a great little tool. It easily and cleanly punches/cuts a line or circle or whatever along my cardstock (80 wt). I can draw in lines for a fake sewing look or easily sew in some baker's twine for a great look. Since I don't have a sewing machine and don't even know how to use one, this is a real find! I'll certainly be buying some of the other cartridges for different styles of cutting. I highly recommend you get the We R Memory Keepers - Sew Easy - Piercing Mat and the We R Memory Keepers - Sew Easy - Ruler along with it. This gives you a self-healing surface for the piercing and running the piercer tool along the ruler gives you a straight and steady hand.
Having completed many cross stitch projects (both small & large) over the years, I was excited to see this new product for scrap book projects. I love everything about it!!!! Make sure you get the pink mat. You may think you can use your self healing mat or quilt mat but there is a big difference. The pink mat has much more of a foam base. The texture of the pink mat makes using the tool & various attachments much easier. Well worth the investment.
I have used this a couple of times since receiving the whole set in my stocking for Christmas (wonderful Husband). I think it works great. I love the look of stitching but don't own a sewing machine and wouldn't use one, so this helps me get the look without investment. I use the mat with it and have tried it on all thicknesses of paper, all with great results. Although I have all of the different heads, I don't think they are needed because you have several options with each one. I think for the price and capabilities, it can't be beat.
I love this thing. It's a great way to add stitched to your pages in any shape or direction. It is easy to use. I recommend that you buy the mat that comes with, I tried a mouse pad and it doesn't work very well. I also recommend that you buy the needles, they are blunt and work well with paper. I was delighted to discover that you can store the needles in the handle, so convenient.

That was some commerical jingle some time ago but I sing it when I use this tool. I have been a fan of sewing on my LO's but I am too lazy to thread my machine and getting tired of poking holes with a hole puncher.
This makes it a lot easier and has changable heads that do some really neat stuff. Makes you want to collect them all.
I just recommend if you're doing a pattern to trace it out and press down hard and move slowly. That is unless you just want a jagged up sewn look!

I have only used this twice so far, but just love it. I was able to mark and stitch around my page, just like I've seen on so many others' layouts. I'll be using this little tool a lot! The stitch pattern is very easy to follow, although I highly recommend the piercing mat as well. I can hardly wait to get the other heads for it, to sew other designs. I'm so glad someone finally thought of this!
This gadget is fun and easy to use. The heads must be very popular as they are almost always on back order. This makes beautiful cards even more lovely. I am glad I got the mat that goes with this. I don't want to stitch on paper using my sewing machine so this is the perfect alternative. Plus it's easy to take to card making events. I would never cart my sewing machine somewhere.
Love how easy this tool makes it to add hand stitching to all paper projects. I detest punching one hole at a time to design fun stitching on my pages so I LOOVE just rolling the specially designed hole punches around. I bought every detachable head for all the different stitch options and love them all. This is a must have if you like to hand stitch!
I recommend that anyone buying this product line have someone with experience demo the proper way to use these tools. After having someone from We R Memory Keepers show me the right way to use this tool, I have used it very successfully. I have six heads and have used them with excellent results. Go ahead and give it a try! ! !
This tool is really nice. I've tried using a sewing machine which didn't seem to work for me. This makes it so you don't rip your paper. I found that it only goes through about 2 sheets stacked but I don't have the mat so it might go through more using that. I plan on getting the mat and all the other heads!

Couldn't wait for this to arrive. I used it with the recommend mat and it works beautifully! I tried it on a couple of other mats I had to see if it would work with them, but it doesn't. You need the mat for the the tool to work correctly. I already have a couple of projects that I'm using it on!
I love the look of stitching on my pages and since I don't own (or even know how to operate) a sewing machine, I thought I'd give this a try.
It's easy to use and gives my pages a great look.
My only issue was myself! I need to have a steadier hand. Will use a ruler as a guide next time.
i rec'd this shipment have already used this. love it! love it!
i made stitches for my grandson's baseball, in scrapbooking.
highly recommend this to all that do not want to bring out the sewing machine. i am going to get the set of new stitches that just came out.
For anyone like me who can't sew to save their life, this product is fool proof, super easy to use. The price is awesome too! Looking forward to new attachment head designs, seen some sneak previews for CHA Winter 2010 that I am looking forward to purchasing!

I love the sew easy tool - it has added a whole new dimension to my scrapbooking. It is easy to use and I love the storage case that goes with it. The heads are easy to change. Can't wait to get some more to add more variety to by scrapbooking.
I have wanted to be able to stitch on my pages, but didnt want to buy a sewing maching a learn all that, and to have to luge out all that stuff to stitch. this is perfect gives you amazing results! i LOVE mine and so glad hubby found it!
I don't have a sewing machine and can't stitch a straight line to save my life, so this is a handy tool for me. This ends my frustration in having uneven stitches. I stopped trying to stitch on my scrapbook pages until now. Hooray!
I first saw this tool on a segment of HSN...they were selling it as a bundle, which sold out within minutes. After watching the demo, I just had to have it...it!s just super...can't wait to get the other 5 attachment heads!
This little tool is so handy! I love that it takes the time & energy & difficulty out of doing just a little bit of stitching on your pages. Stitching gives the page that extra umph, and this makes it fun!
I just bought this item and I LOVE it. It's easy to use and helps make all those hand sewn details look professional. Don't forget the Sew Easy - Piercing Mat it's a must for this product to work correctly.
OMG !!! This is a great idea. Now I can sew on my cards without lugging the sewing machine out and hooking it up.
Easy to use and so simple. Can't wait until the additional
'sewing 'heads come in!!!
I received the Sew Easy - Stitch Piercer Tool and tried immediately. I love it. It is so easy to use and so versatile. It makes it very easy to add beautiful details to my pages. It is an awesome tool.
This new tool is such a time saver! And the stitches that I have made have added so much to my LO's. LOVE LOVE LOVE this tool!!! Can't wait to see the new stitch heads they'll be coming out with.
I put getting this off for a while but finally brought it and used it for the first time last night and I LOVE IT! Just apply a little bit of pressure and you get clean holes every time!

What fun! Hole punching was never so easy! If you're tired of the same old pages, this is an easy way to add color and flare without a lot of effort or artistic talent.
Well they certainly named this correctly! I love this! I've used Bazzill stitch templates but I like this one just as well and it is easier!

This is a nice tool, but the mat is the key! But you really have to have a steady hand to run a straight line so practice on scrap paper!

I was very excited about this tool and had to have it. I was very blessed to receive it for Christmas and have since recommended it to several friends, some of whom have also purchased it. I love the fact that there are so many different heads, all with many possibilities and I am very excited about the new heads that will be coming out in the spring.
Of all it's good qualities (price, versatility, ease of use, size) it does have a few drawbacks, the biggest one being that the heads are made of plastic and after only a few uses with the sew easy mat, I am finding that the piercing points are dulling already. The other drawback, although minor and overcome with practice, is that it is hard to see exactly where you are putting your holes.
Two tips to better use this tool:
1) practice a few times before using it on your layouts or cards so that you can get used to the positioning of the holes, and repractice with each new head.
2) Make sure to get the Sew Easy mat!!! I thought it was silly and a waste of money until I realized that without it, you will shorten the lifespan of the heads and the tool will become less effective. I even tried a foam mousepad upside down, and while this helped, if you are doing a 12x12 layout, well, it's just better to get the mat:)

I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of this tool and now I am having so much fun with it! It's made of sturdy plastic with easily replaceable heads for different stitching effects and the best part is that you can store the sewing needle in the handle. I would definitely recommend getting the piercing mat with it, but if you have another foam mat to use I'm sure that would work too. If you don't use a mat the tool will not pierce through your paper effectively. The nubs on each head are made of hard plastic, so while they do pierce holes in the paper, if your child gets ahold of this tool there is little possibility of them hurting themselves with it. Also if you don't have the mat, you may have a bit of difficulty piercing in a straight line as the mat has guides on it to help you.
This tool as so many pluses: it's easily portable if you want to take it to crops, the heads are different colors so you can easily recognize the different stitching patterns and you are going to have so much fun adding stitching to any of your paper projects. Be sure to put this tool in your shopping cart. You will be glad you did!

I like the look of hand stitching with embroidery floss on my layouts and cards so when I saw this tool I had to try it! So far I've used it on a couple of layouts and cards and I'm glad I added this tool to my stash because of the following reasons: 1. It allows you to pierce straight lines perfectly straight, perfectly spaced and faster than piercing one by one by hand. 2. The straight stitch pierce head works well for circles or circles too. Check out the owl card I made on my gallery using the straight piercing in a shape of a circle. 3. I also purchased a wavy stitch piercing head and it's not only adorable on pages but I would never be able to get the waver perfectly spaced by hand. 4. I LOVE that I can keep my needle stored in the handle. The only thing I would change about it is the piercing head would be better in metal for a stronger more durable tool but I've had no problem so far piercing through even heavy cardstock. Overall I am very happy with my purchase mainly because it makes it Sew Easy to add stitching to my projects.

I do not sew, so I don't have a sewing machine. I love the look of stitching on layouts, but punching individual holes with a paper piercer makes it an arduous task. The SewEasy is great for beginners or those who are not talented at sewing. I love how easy it is to use, but yes you do need to move slowly if you want straight lines. I can't wait to try out some of the other interchangeable piercing heads.

When I saw the Sew Easy I had to have it! I purchased the tool plus the different pattern punches. It takes a bit of practice to line up the holes on your paper just right - I had some that were too close to the edges and the sewing threads tore through the edge. Also, it really only works on light weight paper - I tried it on cardstock and the holes don't punch through.
The product works very well just as the video promised. I feel the stitches are way too far apart. Wish the photo of the stitch were actual size. I purchased it for embellishing my cards and the length of the stitch seems more suited for a larger page such as in a 12 x 12 scrapbook. I am back today hoping to find an attachment offering a shorter stitch.
FANTASTIC tool! Super easy to use! I would def. recommend getting the mat with it. It was out of stock when I ordered the tool, and I thought I would be fine without it until I was able to get the mat, however, it needs a soft surface so that the tool can pierce the paper.
I am not a huge fan of sewing or stitching because it frustrates me, but I love the look of it on a page. I got the sew easy and tried it on a card and it did make it much easier. Having the holes already punched kept my lines straight, which for a perfectionist is key! :)
I love this product! It's compact and that is great for me since I don't have a lot of room to store things like a sewing machine! I would have to say that if you are thinking about purchasing this do! Just be sure to get the mat as well; it makes a huge difference!

If you want to add stitching to your pages this tool works well. Be sure to push down evenly so your holes are all the way through your paper, especially if you are using two layers of paper. Once all the stitching was finished I liked the end result.
Fantastic with the Sew Easy Heads & the compatible mat (or upside-down mouse pad), this tool is easy to use & assists with wonderful stitchery along the edge of your layouts (see Gallery - Layouts for more ideas & inspiration).
This is a "must have" if you enjoy sewing on your pages. It makes it so easy to have even stitching and the holes are made so it is easy to insert your needle through the holes. Works just like I hoped it would
I think I will really like this tool. It is a but difficult to use right now as I have only tried it twice. But I truly believe my technique will improve with use. I am anxious to try the different heads.
Only things I would change - make the piercing points a big bigger in diameter, and a tougher plastic. They tend to get a bit damaged on the tips if they go all the way through the cushioned mat.
I was so excited to receive this tool, as I have difficulty evenly handstitching and I do not own a sewing machine. However, it is not all it seems to be. It does not punch all the way through cardstock, so I am left with indents and I have to use a real needle (not the one that is provided) to finish the job. I will still use this tool, but I am disappointed that it's not "tougher!"

I' ve only used it once so far (with some practice runs), and overall I like the stitch piercer, but it definitely does take some practice. I like the fact that using this tool makes hand-stitching faster than piercing the holes by hand, but-- my straight-stitch head seems to want to twist and fall out of the handle.
The product is OK, but not as great as it is made out to be.
The plastic handle for holding the heads is not made that great. If you are not careful when you remove and replace the different heads you can break it. It will soon wear down and none of the heads will fit into it.
Plastic nibs wear down easily and broke off when I used on card stock. Definitely need to use the piercing matt to get the best effect and save on wear and tear. You get what you paid for. I like the concept but think it would have been better if the points were made of steel.
It's good to get the holes in a straight line, but doesn't always punch all the way through. If you press too hard it creases your paper, and too light it doesn't make a hole. I usually go back over the holes with my piercer that I use to make holes for brads and things.
I like it so far, but I am dubious of its durability and therefore longevity.
The part where the piercing spikes are should have been made of all
medal. The handle could also be a little more sturdy as well. I do
like the needle storage .
I was really excited to get this product. I was a little dissapointed when I first used it. It does take a little practice, but I'm looking forward to playing around with it.
While I love the idea of this tool I cannot say that I am satisfied with it. When running it along paper to punch holes I am finding that it is not strong enough to pierce all the way through the paper (even the thinest paper). In order to get it to work, I have to place the paper on a peice of cardboard and apply alot of pressure - which then makes it even harder to achieve perfectly straight and intricate stitches. When you do manage to get it to pierce throught the paper the results are simply beautiful and add a creative and fun design to your project.
I was so excited to try this tool. It was the first item to go on my wish list from CHA. However, it wrinkles your paper...anything from thin PP to thick Bazzill cardstock. I love the needle storage in the handle and changing out the stiching heads was easy however, the final outcome had me crossing this off my list. It did not pierce all the way through the paper either. Thanks goodness I was able to try this before I purchased!
very dissappointing the heads are absolutely NOT durable, really it should have been made much much much stronger, in the very first attempt all pointed edges are bent. It should have been made with either very hard durable plastic or metal(even better) as they are ment to be used again and again. Really they should have thought about it...its menat to be use with little pressure every time...but its not gonna take it...another thing where head fits in the handle is not very sturdy as well, also it is not able to pierce the paper well, in the end i have to pierce with needle...i really love the look of stitching on l.o. but this product neither delivers expected results nor durable! Whats the point in buying handle when all heads are not solving their purpose, neither able to pierce not durable, practically ment to fail!!!
I wish i would have read the reviews for this "tool"....first of all, it does NOT cut paper...it does leave the marking on it but then you have to use a needle to pierce it. Not worth the time or money! I thought this would replace a sewing machine...not even close!
I love the idea of this tool, but unfortunately only one attachment worked. 3 of the heads I bought for it didn't even rotate and the other two had flat points on most of the piercers so they didn't work either. Over a great concept, but a super cheap product...bummer!
Fantastic....My granddaughter and I both tried this out the very day it arrived...totally awesome....a cinch to swap out the heads and the needle storage is just an added plus. Best new crafting tool of 2010!
