I dream of painting and then I paint my dream
"A flame burns bright
and quick, it hungers
to leap forward and become.
It is art."
Art is a collaboration between God and the artist, and the less the artist does the better.
Art is the desire of a man to express himself, to record the reactions of his personality to the world he lives in.
Art to me is the soul dancing with God's rainbow
Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.
"Butt it's Art" used for a photo of rear end!
Comparison is the thief of joy.
Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
"Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun." Mary Lou Cook
CREATIVITY is seeing something new when you look at something old...it is the heart of civilization and is the driving force of revolution
Creativity takes courage.
"Draw a crazy picture,
Write a nutty poem,
Sing a mumble-gumble song,
Whistle through your comb.
Do a loony-goony dance
'Cross the kitchen floor,
Put something silly in the world
That ain't been there before."
"Esa niña no soy yo, aunque en Halloween me veré igual que ella".
Every child is an artist, the problem is how to remain one once he grows up.
Everything you can imagine is real.
In art there are no mistakes, only opportunities for creativity.
"Love isn't an emotion or an instinct- it's an art".
Often while reading a book one feels that the author would have preferred to paint rather than write; one can sense the pleasure he/she derives from describing a landscape or a person, as if they were painting what they i were saying, because deep in their heart they would have preferred to use brushes and colors
The artist, like the idiot or clown, sits on the edge of the world, and a push may send him over it.
"the object of art is to give life a shape".
The very act of creating a work of art breathes life into one's soul, and causes one to feel but a small part of God.
"What I dream of is an art of balance, of purity and serenity devoid of troubling or disturbing subject matter... like a comforting influence, a mental balm - something like a good armchair."
"Suppose I have to paint a woman's body: first I give it grace, charm, then it is necessary to give it something more. I am going to condense the meaning of this body by seeking its essential lines. The charm will be less apparent at first, but it will emerge in the end from the new image that I will have obtained and will have a wider meaning, a more fully human one."
"The artist has but one idea. He is born with it and spends a lifetime developing it and making it breathe. I basically work witho...
A flame burns bright

to leap forward and become.
It is art.
A great tattoo is a statement, not a style. And getting it is a journey, not a destination.
A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself. What a man can be, he must be.

All children are artists. Th problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.
AN ACTOR’S LIFE FOR ME!!
So I wish you first a
sense of theatre; only
those who love illusion
and know it will go far:
Otherwise we spend our
lives in a confusion
of what we say and do with
who we really are.
--W.H. Auden
“Many Happy Returns”
An artist is only an ordinary man with a greater potentiality--same stuff, same make up, only more force. And the strong driving force usually finds his weak spot, and he goes cranked, or goes under.
Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.
Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.
Art has a double face, of expression and illusion, just like science has a double face: the reality of error and the phantom of truth.
Art is a piece of the heart and soul that come together to form something beautiful.
Art is the color and textures of the imagination!
Art is the colors and textures of your imagination.
Art is the only thing that can go on mattering once it has stopped hurting.
Art is the only way to run away without leaving home.
Art is the stored honey of the human soul,
gathered on wings of misery and travail.
Art is why I get up in the morning.
My definition ends there.
Art isn't art unless it makes you sick.
Art to us is our hobby. It is our vocation. It is our very life, because it represents a God that is so much a part of us.
Art washed away from the soul the dust of everyday life.
Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.
Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.
Art, like morality, consists of drawing the line somewhere.
Artists don’t get old - they just get abstract!
Artists, like yourself, are born with a need to express that's just innate.
Be creative, use your talents to serve God. 1 Timothy 4:14
Be the artist you are, not the artist you want to be.
Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, but beautiful old people are works of art.
Crafts have rules, you must push yourself to meet each precise standard to do well. Art has no rules, it has heart, freedom of expression and joy. Do art.
Creative work is play. It is free speculation using materials of one's chosen form.
Creativity -- the power to connect the seemingly unconnected.
Creativity arises out of the tension between spontaneity and limitations, the latter (like the river banks) forcing the spontaneity into the various forms which are essential to the work of art or poem.
Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.

Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risk, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.
Creativity is the sudden cessation of stupidity.
Don't expect anything original from an echo.
Es ist gut, nicht alle Tassen im Schrank zu haben.
Sehr gut sogar.
Sonst wäre da ja kein Platz mehr für andere Dinge.
Wichtigere Dinge als Tassen.
Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature in his pictures.

Every artist was first an amateur.

Great art is created not to satisfy the viewer but the creator.
Great artists are people who find the way to be themselves in their art.
Great art is created not to satisfy the viewer but the creator.
Have nothing in your homes that you do not know
to be useful or believe to be beautiful.
I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination.
I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for.
I have a room all to myself; it is nature.
I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.
I shut my eyes in order to see.
I was definitely born to make cards, but live had forced me to work.
Imagination is more important than knowledge.
Imagination is more important than knowledge.
In art as in love, instinct is enough.
Innovation:
The ability to think beyond today's world;
to see things as they could possible be;
to envision the world changed;
and to change it.
It is not sufficient to see and to know the beauty of a work. We must feel and be affected by it.
It is your work in life that is the ultimate seduction.
Let the things you love be your escape.
Life is a great big canvas; throw all the paint on it you can.
Life is not about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.
Life is the art of drawing without an eraser.
Make visible what, without you, might perhaps never have been seen.
Maybe we should develop a Crayola bomb as our next secret weapon. A happiness weapon. A beauty bomb. And every time a crisis developed, we would launch one. It would explode high in the air - explode softly - and send thousands, millions, of little parachutes into the air. Floating down to earth - boxes of Crayolas. And we wouldn't go cheap, either - not little boxes of eight. Boxes of sixty-four, with the sharpener built right in. With silver and gold and copper, magenta and peach and lime, amber and umber and all the rest. And people would smile and get a little funny look on their faces and cover the world with imagination.
My creativity strikes when least expected.
No form of Nature is inferior to Art; for the arts merely imitate natural forms.
Nur wer sich traut auf der Bühne nackt zu sein, hat es verdient Künstler genannt zu werden.
One should either be a work of art or wear a work of art.
Painting is just another way of keeping a diary.
Passion doesn't look beyond the moment of its existence.
Perfection only exists in our minds.
Run a moist pen slick through everything and start afresh.
So who is a life artist? Do you take photos of your family, yourself, your environment, your world? Do you tell stories? Do you bring them all together onto paper, into your computer, onto a canvas (or some other cool concoction)? Do you create art journals with all kinds of wonderfully interesting pieces of your life and thoughts and emotions? Do you celebrate your life through your art?
You are a life artist.
I am a life artist.
Some pursue happiness, others create it.
The artist has so much love to give back to the universe that it spills over, and the fallen drops become works of art. It is love in another form.
The camera is to the Photographer what the pen is to the Writer: a tool to express a vision
The essence of all art is to have pleasure in giving pleasure.
The family is one of nature's masterpieces.
The imagination imitates. It is the critical spirit that creates.
The place of dance is within the heart.
The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.
The richness I achieve comes from Nature, the source of my inspiration.
The whole difference between construction and CREATION is exactly this: that a thing constructed can only be loved after it is constructed; but a thing created is loved BEFORE it exists.
There is only one real happiness in life, and that is the happiness of creating.
They teach you there's a boundary line to music.
But, man, there's no boundary line to art.
Things are beautiful if you love them.
True art is characterized by an irresistible urge in the creative artist
We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having an earthly experience.
We could learn a lot from a box of crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors... but they have all learned to live happily in the same box.
Well, it doesn't have to look perfect, it's art.
Whether making art is your career, your hobby, or your dream, it is not too late or too egotistical or too selfish or too silly to work on your creativity.
You know you're an artist if: the only scraps falling off you dinner table are paper!
You know you're an artist if: you buy more paper than shoes!
You know you're an artist if: you dream about projects instead of Mr. Right!
You know you're an artist if: you drool over paper, have ink-stained fingertips and are fascinated with chipboard!
You know you're an artist if: you go through a glue stick faster than a lipstick!
You know you're an artist if: you haven't watched a soap opera in weeks!
You Make Everything More Beautiful
You use a glass mirror to see your face; you use works of art to see your soul.

“Art! Who comprehends her? With whom can one consult concerning this great goddess?”
“Artists are just children who refuse to put down their crayons.”
—Al Hirschfeld
