I ordered this typewriter back in January, but didn't open it until after the return time had expired. When I did open it, there were ball bearings in the bottom of the box, and the typewrite didn't work. Scrapbook.com directed me to American Crafts since I'd waited so long to open the box. American Crafts sent me a return label right away. They were unable to fix it, so sent me a new typewriter. They also included two extra ribbons in the box, and you could tell they machine had been tested. Everything worked great until I got to the "w" key. It wouldn't work. I figured out how to fix it, but the fit was so tight, I ended up losing the "q", "e", and "z" keys in the process. I contacted American Crafts once again to explain the issue, and they are sending me another typewriter without the hassle of having to return my current one. I will be happy when I get one that actually works, but the customer service to get me there has been wonderful!
