  • Horizontal Layout Planner Extension Pages

This planner extension pack has some fantastic things about it, and some not-so-great things about it. Overall, I'm happy with it.

You might be wondering what layout the weekly pages are configured in. I was definitely wondering this. They're in a horizontal layout. This is exactly what I wanted, which is why I am happy with this overall.

Another thing that I LOVE about this: The dividers have designs on both sides, so you can reuse them again the next year -- unlike the Happy Planner.

With the Happy Planner, the dividers have a design on one side and half the month's calendar on the other side, so there is no reusing them unless you want to take the time to redate them or cover over them. And if you like to keep your old planners to refer back to (I do), then there is no easy way to reuse your dividers.

I LOVE the way these dividers and calendar pages are designed with the monthly pages ALL after the divider for that month. It drives me absolutely bonkers that the Happy Planner's monthly planning page is at the end of the previous month and not included behind the divider for that month. I am not sure if Maggie Holmes' planners are all designed like this (does anyone know? If so, please post here or message me with info! I'd love any insights you have to share on this!) But if they are, for me, that is a huge selling point, and a reason to consider switching to using Maggie's planners over the Happy Planner.

That said, there are some wonky things about this. There's a monthly overview page that gives you a few inches to write down your monthly goals. I don't know about you, but I need more space than that -- so I'll be doing a lot of stickering overtop of this page in the planner basically every month. Oh well, I can live with that. The weekly layout pages of this extension pack are basically exactly what I want, and I'm SO THRILLED to have the dividers printed without any part of the calendar on them. Love, love, LOVE that aspect of this extension pack.

If you prefer to use a horizontal layout, I highly recommend this extension pack to you. If you prefer a vertical layout, this probably isn't going to be what you want -- keep looking for something else.

What do the actual planner pages look like? Is it dashboard, freestyle, Grid like a happy planner or something else?   By: User (13-Mar-21) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • At Maggie Holmes' site, about midway down this page, you can see microscopic pics of the layouts:

    • Update: I bought this planner extension pack, and the weekly calendar pages are configured in a horizontal layout.

I have the same question! I have looked at pretty much every site on the internet that offers these for sale, and I cannot tell, but it looks to me like the weekly pages in these might be horizontal layouts. It also looks like there might be some other, non-weekly layout pages that are unique designs -- but it is impossible to tell for sure. If anyone who already has these has a definitive answer on this, it would be really helpful to know -- thanks! By: amysolovay (31-Jan-22) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you!
