Effortlessly stamp perfectly aligned words and phrases with the Typeset Stamping Block by We R Makers. The package includes one typeset stamping block that is designed to be used with the We R Precision Press Advanced (sold separately). The block features alignment grooves for easy stamp placement.
The idea is great, but in practice it is not so convenient. The small letters are superfluous, just impossible to work with.It's easier to work with the large letters. I usually love WRMK products but not this product.
If you have the patience, good eyesight, and ability to pick up very tiny letters, the Typeset Stamping Block Set just might be for you. It must be used with the WRMK Stamping System. The package includes one acrylic stamping block with grooves on one side, letters and two storage cases to store the letters.Now appears to be a great time to make a purchase because it seems to be selling at a greatly reduced price. I have four sets because I wanted to have plenty of letters, with the ability to write just about any saying. The individual typeset come connected. It takes a while to separate them and place each in the included storage cases. I had to use a bright light while sorting everything because seeing the smallest letters was VERY DIFFICULT. They are an off white color. However, once I had the set ready it was relatively easy to add letters to the included acrylic press. The press has groves which hold the letters. I was surprised that this part worked well, all of the letters securely held in place. I did use tweezers for some, but not all of the text. I have short fingernails. I used graph paper to work out the letter placement before putting the letters in the acrylic block. I was able to easily nudge my typeset words once they were in the track. This helped me achieve a pleasing look. Be prepared to ink and stamp twice. The ink beads up on the letters. I tried just about every conditioning method but the letters remain shinny and smooth. I also tested all of my inks to see if any would cover the letters without beading up. No difference. But as I said, you can achieve great results with two stampings. Hold the inked letters to the paper for about 5 seconds each time. The font is very basic, not very decorative. It resembles an old typewriter. Definitely not fancy. I also made a laminated sheet for all of the individual letters. After choosing my saying I use a felt pen to cross off each letter. It will let me know if I have enough stamps to write my text and help to save time setting up the type.
I am happy with my purchase, but I am retired with plenty of free time. I can see using We R Memory Keepers Typeset often. But it will not be my only way to write sayings.
I have a large collection of the old Just Rite alphabet stamps which I love but the stamp blocks for them are a pain to use. The Just Rite letters fit this Typeset block perfectly and make creating my own words and sentiments a pleasure.
I wanted so much to love this. It would have solved a lot of issues with custom sentiments. Sadly, after working way too long to get the tiny letters in place (I cannot explain how difficult something thin like an I or an L is!), I went to use it and half of them fell out. They just don't click securely in place.
I bought two of these sets to have lots of letters to work with. I opened both of the packages and sorted all the letters. Well... not happy! I cannot get any kind of ink to stick to the stamps. It has made me so sad because I don't have money to throw away.
This is more of a 3.5 because the small letters are small but good for cards. I suggest conditioning the letters before you cut them apart when you first receive this tool. I use tweezers to insert the small letters. I like that it comes with storage cases. I hope WRMK comes out with more fonts.
It’s very easy to use and the grooves hold the letters in place that came with it. The lower case letters and symbols are small but they work for smaller text or longer text.
This set will help me with writing my own sentaments.
