I was under the impression that this punch could make up to a 4” square but upon receiving it, found the largest dimension to be 4”x3”. The reason I bought the tool was to get a 3.5”x3.5” square so that’s why I’m disappointed. Otherwise, it’s a nice, well made product.

I can't believe I'm writing a one star review for any We R Memory Keepers product. I especially can't believe I'm writing one for this punch which I was really, really looking forward to receiving. I own a number of punches from this brand and generally thought they could do no wrong until I received my delivery today. I purchased this punch to replace my fiskars paper trimmer and Happy Planner box punches.
Genuinely, I hope my product was just defective.
The punch itself is substantial; more bulky than all of the other We R Memory Keepers products I own. Most of the product has a nice feel to it, but the guides feel very flimsy and like they may snap if you don't use extra caution. It will punch sizes up to 4x3 (they don't mention this on the website; they make it sound like it will punch 4x4), but that's only if you can get it to work.
I tried a number of types of paper. If you use regular printer paper or thin scrapbook paper, forget about it. One side won't punch at all, and 9 times out of 10 the paper will get lodged in the punch and rip as you try to remove it. If you try to punch card stock the result is better, but the cuts are rarely even. What I mean by this is that after the "square" is punched, it comes out looking more like a rhombus. You can't get a perfect square punch, or I can't, anyway.
The paper is not easy to load, especially if it's a thinner paper. It easily curls up inside the punch before it reaches the guide on the left, usually in a place that is blocked from reach, so you can't fix it without pulling it back out and trying again.
My final complaint is that it is terribly hard to actually push the top of the punch down to get these imprecise cuts. My wrist hurt after only about 8-10 attempts at punching paper and card stock.
Unfortunately this highly anticipated purchase is going back.

I really love We R Memory Keepers and I own MANY products from this brand. I was looking for a 3X4 '' size for Project Life and 2x2 '' size for my Traveler's Notebook layouts. This square punch board does cut those sizes and other sizes as well, so it gets the job done, right?
Yes and no. Yes, It cuts well. Yes, I get square with the sizes I want, but I HATE using this punch board and I rarely use it lately. It is so heavy, it takes much strength to use it, it's hard to store it and it's way too big! The functionality of this punch is great and I'm sure I would use it more often if its design were better, but right now, after a few months of having this punch, I rarely use it at all and it's inside my drawer, taking up a lot of space and pretty much useless. If I had known it is so heavy and difficult to use and store, I'm sure I would not buy this item and use a die cut or my trimmer instead.

I’ve seen the unboxing one. It was not real helpful, because there were no instructions with it. I saw another video on a website. That lady was making up to 4x4 in. Size. The First Lady could not figure out how to make a 4x4. We r memory keeper has it on their website for sale, but with no explanation as to what it’s supposed to do. No video . They used to be very good about showing or printing instructions for there products.
