I have not used the impressions in a project yet but have created several backgrounds ready to go and to try out folder - they are amazing. This folder will get a lot of use.
This is a great embossing Folder, it makes great backgrounds for your cards and scrapbook pages.The impression it makes is very nice. The quality of this folder is great.
This embossed wonderfully and makes a great background for any images, phrases, etc.
The pattern on this embossing folder is very pretty and very graceful. This is a whopping big folder, which I didn't know it would be because I didn't check to see the size of it, but the size could be a real asset, as it could be used behind a decorative project. I like the graceful wave pattern very much and I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Hands down I am beyond impressed.
I used this embossing folder to make waves on a carrot box. I used the cutie pie die from Stampin Up, and then embossed the box with the Ribbon Wave die. I then hit the top of the box with pumpkin ink and the results were just what I wanted.

This is an embossing folder. To use you would place your paper inside and use a die-cutting/embossing machine to impress the design into the paper. We hope this helps!

I just wanted to add to the answer--For 3-D embossing folders, it helps to have a fine spray-mist bottle of water (I use distilled water) to lightly spritz cardstock before making the impression in your cardstock, so the cardstock will not split when it's run through the die-cutting/embossing machine. You might check to see if the 3-D folders need to had an embossing pad used with them like the regular embossing folders need.
