In 2005, Bazzill Basics introduced the new Bazzill Color Wheel system. In order to complete the spectrum of colors in the wheel, Bazzill Basics has expanded the monochromatic color lines to include 21 new colors in the Red/Orange, Yellow/Green, and Blue/Green categories. Bazzill Basics has also expanded three of their trio lines to become Monochromatic. Marigold Trio is now Yellow/Orange. Blackberry Trio is now Blue/Violet. Velvet Trio is now Violet.
