Already pricey, if you need to store Ranger Distress and Oxide inks you have to purchase the inserts for this organizer. It also takes too much space on the crafts table.I replaced the small
felt pads that are included with bigger ones to give the unit more stability, which does not affect its rotation.
Hero Arts and Pinkfresh Studio ink pads only fit if they’re stored lengthwise.
Bought this for my SU ink pads and it works great. Also saves me space as my crafting area is very limited as I share the room with another's office and I can keep the refills handy on the top as well. And to top it off, even at the regulasr price, it was much less than SU or Stamp-n-Storage units to hold the same amount of pads. It doesn't work too well for smaller pads such as the Memento, Distressed or other brands that I have.
I have looked at this for a while and after getting it I ordered 2 more and as soon as I change out a piece of furniture will order 2 more. I loaded with my Archival Ink ink pads and love that it is so easy to use. Ordered a pen holder for my memento pens - can hardly wait to get it, shipped today.
I would recommend this ink tower because it holds my old and new Stampin Up ink pads just fine. I also think it is sturdy. It swivels smoothly. I must say I had my husband put it together. The directions do have clear pictures that help putting it together. However as my husband got to one point, he said, "we don't have a black screw". Fortunately I was quick enough to realize the screw he needed wouldn't be black as I ordered the white tower. One screw/nut was difficult getting into position as it was in one of the small spaces at the top meant for re-inkers or Stickle sized bottles. I tried helping as my fingers are smaller but I couldn't do it. You will need a magnetic screwdriver and patience. I haven't tried attaching the strap yet. I thought maybe it should be a bit more substantial, but we will see. It is quite heavy with the ink pads in it. Perhaps the company could list the approximate weight with ink pads in the slots. I did not purchase the inserts as they are sold separately. My Memento ink pad is still easy to get out of the slot. But....the square Ranger Inks slide far back into the slot and are hard to retrieve. I like it well enough to buy another one and the inserts for my Ranger oxide inks.
Love it! Ink pads are finally organized and easy to get to.
Very happy with this organizer for my ink pads. I may have to get a second one as this is almost filled. I would and have recommended to my friends. Thank you Scrapbook.com for a sturdy product.
I have been looking at this type ink holder for sometime and finally became available in white. It holds my ink pads and swivels on its base. It comes with the secure slide on sides and the strap for taking it along for a crop. It is sturdy and super useful! I am so happy I finally bought it!
I like this ink tower, it had weird black marks on it that I’m still trying to get off,, however. The instruction sheet was unreadable as the photo copy was so light and poor quality. The quality control on this product is below this companies usual standard, but I’ll keep it because I like it.
This item is awfully pricey, but scrapbook.com had the best price I found. And I definitely splurged on this. Yes, the instructions could be better, but hubby and I were able to figure it out and put it together pretty quick. (Hubby is the expert on putting things together!)
I will say that the unit is well made, and I'm happy with the quality. It does wobble a little, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. I love the swivel function, and the portability.
It is fantastic for Stampin' Up pads, other rectangular pads I have (Memento, Simon Says, etc. fit fine narrow side in. If you try to put them wide side out they will go in too far, hence the spacers. But why buy spacers when one could easily make some from cut out pieces of corregated cardboard glued a couple layers thick, and shoved in behind the ink pad? With oval pads like Scrapbook.com pads-- again, just make little cardboard spacers! All in all, I'm very happy with it, but one will have to do for me, as just too expensive!
This storage rack/display case for my ink pads is just AWESOME!!!!
Quite easy to assemble. The swiveling rack is just the best ever thing I have had to organize and store my ink pads. Most of my ink pads are from Stampin Up, and they fit perfectly.
I cannot recommend this product highly enough!
