This paper is very nice, pattern is well done, thick and with a slight texture.
Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing a whole line of tartan papers esp. if they were all done this well. I ordered some cardstock from other companies as well as this Black Watch, and this is the sturdiest of them all.

I am using these for matting around the photos I put on the other pages of Ireland and the UK. We Homeschool, and during the late summer ,always make a remembrance book of the countries we studied. I want my child to know the different tartans and what is the name of each one and the family represented. This paper fits the bill entirely! Paper is double-sided and of a light weight than regular cardstock. You can use either side ~plaid in regular horizontal and vertical lines or diagonal lines on the back.
