Are the distressed patterns part of the flower stamps? Separate?

I haven't yet used it but took it out of package to look closely. Parts not separate: entire design is attached (pre-arranged) on rectangle about three-and-a-half inches by five inches. Like a vertical postcard with botanical & postal images. I don't know if it will be best in black then color the design after printing, or hand-ink colors directly onto the stamp. The three bees are about 1" long and very cute.
