This 68 piece 8" x 8" Paper Kit is part of the African Spirit Collection from The Paper Boutique. This kit features two paper pads, there is one pad with 36 single sided decorative papers in six designs you get six of each design, and one pad with 32 die cut toppers in eight designs, you get four of each design. There are both square and circle toppers filled with beautiful African animals and birds along with tropical leaves and flowers. The papers feature the same beautiful designs. The papers are printed on 150 gsm paper which is a lightweight paper but perfect for die cutting, matting, and layering. The toppers are printed on 300 gsm paper which is heavyweight paper. These papers and toppers can be used for cards, scrapbook pages, tags, journals, planners, and other paper crafting and mixed media projects.
Exquisite images, in cover weight, and coordinating designer (text weight) paper. I made beautiful African themed cards for my friend who has a soup kitchen/orphanage in Namibia. The cards I make are sent to thank her donors.
This is a lovely paper kit. I'm just as happy with this purchase as I have been with the other items in this collection. It was so easy to punch out the circles and squares of the separate animals. I also love the paper sheets in the rest of the kit.

The paper isn't particularly heavy weight - it feels flimsier than 65# cardstock. The bigger issue, however, is the prints -- the monkeys are "new world monkeys" and jaguar isn't an "African" animal but from the Americas. The toppers are marginally better with an elephant, a lion, a rhino and a zebra - along with a cheetah, the jaguar and a couple of strange birds! With all the "strange birds" and non African animals, the overall impression isn't of Africa -- but "zoo" or merely "jungle". And there are plenty other, much less expensive, papers for zoo or jungle!
