This clear photopolymer background stamp, Snow Dome, is part of the Designer Boutique Collection from Creative Expressions. This stamp features a snow globe hanging from a Christmas tree with ornaments around it and holly and berry sprigs. The snow globe has the phrase Season's Greetings at the bottom. This stamp will adhere to an acrylic block and can be used with your favorite inks, markers, embossing powders, watercolors, colored pencils, and other crafting mediums (sold separately). This stamp can be used for cards, scrapbook pages, and other paper crafting, mixed media, and home decor projects. This is an A6 size stamp and measures approximately 4" x 6".
This stamp is very pretty in its styling. I love the tree inside of the dome and the sentiment along the bottom of it. I also love the botanical images around the dome piece. It's all one stamp image, but it looks as though it's several separate images. The greenery in the two opposite corners of the image give a softness to the image. I like the little star images that give the image a twinkling effect, which gives the image light and life. I'm just sorry that the stamp doesn't include the stitched effect around the image, only closer to the image, with the tiny bow at the bottom of it. I'm going to have to try and fashion something like that around the main image. That would be really neat. I think all I would need would be a plain, stitched border die which would be near the size of the image borders and a tiny bow for the bottom. I have quite a few very small bow dies. Sometimes I like to gamble with the ideas in my mind and some work and some don't...
I'm very pleased with this purchase.
