Use Code: CRAFTY
This Tacky-when-Dry clear acrylic gel medium is from The Crafter's Workshop. This gel medium can be used for painting, decoupaging, applying foil or gold leafting. This 2 ounce jar of gel medium dries tacky. Please note, if using on something that will be exposed to moisture, seal your project when done.
I used this paste with a lovely metal heart stencil. It has a creamy consistency and it went on smoothly. I let it dry for a few hours, though it probably didn't need that long. I gilded it with Nuvo gold gilding flakes and the result was stunning. I plan on playing with this product some more, perhaps with foil or glitter. It will definitely be used on some of my greeting cards.

I was super excited for this product, but it only works with foil. It is tacky, but only a bit. I added it to a three dimensional object, to add foil and gilding flakes, but it only half worked. When you put the gel on paper and then put the paper and foil through the die cutter there really is not any problems with foil coverage, but when you cannot, the tack is just not grippy enough.
It just depends on what you want to do with the gel.
I love love love this medium. I was able to foil on a pre-made background. I used it to glitter by running it through a stencil and the glitter. You could flock. Use it by itself through a stencil for texture. So many possibilities. Love it.
I love how this Tacky When Dry Gel Medium adds dimension to my projects. It looks great.
I picked this up to try foiling without a laminator or machine as seen on a demo video online. I tried using it with and without my heat gun and it works great either way but I like the heat gun more for smaller details. Really excited to explore more uses with this stuff!
gel medium is fantastic for using an art journals. easy to apply and adhere as well.
