I was given a wooden cassette tape holder (holds 100 tapes!) for free from a friend recently. My first thought was "how can I make this work for my scrapbooking supplies?". These are the closest containers that would fit I could find. They are a bit small for the slots but do work. I can't complain about the price either. I bought 100 containers for $40.00. Not bad when you think about all the storage I have for small items now. I'm not even half full and I haven't gotten to my brads and eyelets yet. I will post a pic when I am finished and it's mounted on my wall.
I have been using these and their smaller units as organizers for embellishments. Items are organized in them and they are put into ACRO-MILLS organizer drawers which I have 3 of so far.
Everything is right there in front of me at all times "to use" and I dont have to spend hours looking for things.
I love this system and hope to show you with a picture later.
These are great for storing brads, eyelets, and other small embellishments where you aren't able to reuse the package they come in. I love how you can label the top of the container for easy recognition, and I don't worry about it coming open and little brads falling all over the floor because the container closes securely.
I just started scrapping again after stopping in 2005, so I don't have a lot of embellishments YET! These will be perfect for brads, buttons, etc. I would not use them for ribbon, however. I placed them in a desk drawer--all neatly lined up--waiting to be filled!
All I can say is I need more of these!!! I love them for my medium size embellies, easy to fill, label, and find supplies as needed. I can never have enough good storage containers!!
