I just purchased six of these houses, 3 large and 3 small. Where else could you get six evenings of therapy for under $60? I have made two small ones previously and I thoroughly enjoy them. I gave one as a christmas gift last year to a lady who is a quilter rather than a scrapper. She did not know what a doodlebug was, so she made these adorable little inhabitants that live in her Doodlebug house. They are little pom pom thingys with wire legs and antennas. And little bug eyes, of course. I agree that the hot glue gun works best. Try it, you'll love it!
I have been drooling over this house in the gallery when all of the talented sb.com ladies have posted their fantastic designs in their galleries and was honestly scared to buy one, but for a Xmas gift for my new SIL (who owns her own Appraisal company) I thought it would be perfect. It was soooo easy to make and turned out really well!! I might even buy more, for xmas gifts and for my scrapbook room : )
I had no idea how fun it would be to decorate this adorable little house! I love the creative freedom of covering it with whatever supplies I love... not just buying it complete from my local craft store. Now I can take the credit for it's sheer cuteness!
Get one now - you'll be so glad you did! It is just TOO CUTE!
I LOVE this product! I wanted to make my own advent calender, and this is SOOOOOO perfect for my project. The templated that come with it are great for making it all come together painlessly. I want to do another one now!
