Excellent product to make especially pretty flowers. I've been trying different methods for a couple years to make flowers for cards, and had never even heard of this product. It was very helpful to me that Scrapbook.com provided a video on how to use the "magic paper" to make flowers (along with wire pollen stems, flower pearls, and satin ribbon twine - total cost about $8.50) . This is very inexpensive (and easy) compared to some other flower making supplies I've tried, and the flowers are realistic and lovely. Additionally, they are rather sturdy .. hold up better than some other methods. Highly recommend watching the flower making video. I'm making a few extra for some small decorative vases. Enjoy!
I was so excited to try this new paper. It works well for making flowers. I sprayed the cutouts with water on both sides and before I shaped them I dropped splashes of watercolor on the petals and it really came out with a beautiful, flowing color. I let them sit a few seconds then gently blotted the water. Paper dries firm and flowers keep their shape better than just regular paper or cardstock.
I wish Scrapbook.com carried the Soft Floral Oriental paper. It looks it would be great to use for flowers.
