I'm so glad not to have wavy cuts any more!
1. It cuts straight every time. Make sure your paper is pushed up against the lip on the top of the cutter and that the magnet in the arm has clicked into place and you're all set.
2. The extendable ruler goes out to 15" and it has markings all the way to 15". Even my big fiskars only has markings out to 11 1/2 inches.
3. The clear arm allows you to see what you are cutting which is great for cropping photos.
4. The 3 1/2 inches (with markings from 1 5/8" to 3 1/2") to right of the blade comes in very handy.
My only complaints are that the the ruler is not well marked for the 1 5/8 inches just to the right of the blade and that replacement mats can be hard to find.... but they carry them here.

I have the pink version of this cutter and I couldn't be happier. I have gone through so many cutters (think 4 Fiskers) and this one has stood up to my use. I like the bendy arm for cutting smaller pieces and I love that the blades are inter-changable so you can have different cuts or even score your paper. I haven't had to replace any of my blades yet and have yet to replace the cutting mat even though I bought a couple extra just in case - I use it A LOT. I also like that it has a magnet at the base to kee the blade arm attached to the cutter base when not in use or to keep your paper from moving. The only think that would make this better is if there was a little loop to go over the handle on the magnetic base to keep the blade arm down when packed or put away so it doesn't get damaged.

I know this is an inexpensive trimmer, but it works better than any other trimmer I have used. I have a Tonic tabletop, have tried most of the Fiskars and Purple Cow, and this Cutterpede is the one I always go back to time and again. It gives me the most accurate, crips cuts than any other trimmer I have tried. It is very light weight and portable.
I love that it has the swing out arm for cutting paper up to 15". I love that there are several types of blade attachments which are inexpensive and last forever. In 4 years, I think I've gone through 3 blades and just a few more mats. It really is fabulous. It's like my best friend-- the tool I use most in all of my paper crafts. It takes a lot of abuse, and works as well now as it did when I first bought it.
I have been cutting with this trimmer for over 3 years and I really have found it to be the best one I've ever owned. I have to say I have never owned or used one of the "expensive" ones though. However, for the money, this trimmer has exceeded all my expectations. I am on my second one but only because I carelessly left my trimmer laying on the floor with the arm extended and then stepped on it causing the arm to break at the joint.
I have no problem cutting a straight line, I like that I can turn the mat 4 different ways thereby extending its life, that there are a number of different blade attachments (especially a scoring blade) and that all the replacement parts are very inexpensive. I would definitely recommend this trimmer to others.

When I first started scrapping, I always measured by drawing lines and then cutting with scissors. Seem Ancient!! Well, when I really got into scrapping, I bought one of these amazing cutters. The Cutterpede is so easy to use even for a lefty like me. It has an extendable ruler to help you measure that also folds to give you a perfect 6 inch cut. There are several different blades: cut, score, wave, perforator, etc... that are easilby slid on. The cutting mat is also easily replaced. Just pull it out and slide a new one in. I never thought cutting could be this easy. I love this one so much I have two!!!!

Having recently jumped back into scrapping I decided that it was time to move up with the times and leave my ruler and scissors behind. I chose to purchase the Cutterpede trimmer based on the portability as well as my satisfaction with other EK Success products...and I am so happy that I did. I have the pink version of this cutter (yeah!) and I am amazed at just how much faster I complete layouts and cards. The 1/4 inch measuring grid on the base is wonderful for cutting small items and the 15 inch arm is great for larger ones. Haven't had a problem cutting straight with it yet!

Some trimmers don’t cut a straight line because the material that the blade runs along is too flexible…but NOT this one! Not only does it cut perfectly straight, but it even has a magnet to keep it down while you are cutting. Also unlike other trimmers, this one has a grid from top to bottom for easy measuring. In addition, a ruler swings out to measure a maximum of 15 inches wide, and can fold right back in. I have absolutely no complaints with this trimmer, and recommend it to scrapbookers of all skill levels!

For the longest time I was having problems cutting a straight edge with a portable trimmer. I picked up this trimmer in hopes that I would get a straight edge. Sure enough, it works! It makes awesome cuts, and the blade cuts through thick cardstock with no problem! I also love the magnetic closure on the bottom because it helps keep the paper in place. I also love the extended ruler with the "elbow". It helps when measuring scraps of paper! Overall, a totally handy product!
I love this cutter. It is very durable. I had my first one for two years and dropped it probubly a hundred times going to crop nights and then it broke. I replaced it shortly there after, And Im telling you, you do not know what you have till your without for a couple of weeks. Making measurements has never been easier, with its arm that folds for an easy six inch cut to the tiny 1/4 inch. Im sure you will love it.

I have tried other trimmers and for some reason I have always had a problem cutting a straight line. I can honestly say I have never had that problem with the Cutterpede Trimmer. I am not sure if the guidelines are deeper for more paper control or what but I find this product much easier to use. It's my favorite scrapbooking tool!!!
