"I purchased this trimmer a few weeks ago, I love it! I have a few other trimmers, including some other Fiskars, and they just don't compare to me! the wire shows you exactly where it's going to cut. the grid and ruler on the board are under the plastic and won't rub off. the extended arm locks into place when measuring larger pieces of paper. the trimmer itself has a lock so it makes it easy to travel with and store. it has rubber corners which keep the trimmer in place when cutting, I've really come to appreciate that. all around a really great trimmer and wish I had it when I started!" - mommabear3
IF YOU ARE A SCRAPBOOKER OR CARD MAKER, THIS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST TRIMMER I HAVE EVER USED. AND I HAVE TRIED MANY AND END UP GIVING THEM AWAY. I love this paper cutter!!!! I have bought many different kinds in the past but this one is the best one I have EVER owned!!! My favorite feature is the lock on it so your paper doesn't shift while you are trying to cut it!!! Another nice feature is the wire that you can see exactly where it will cut.
I truly love this paper cutter. All the features are exactly what I need. However, after 2 years of use, the wire guide has started to fray and the blade no longer slides smoothly. In other words, I have worn it out! Am in the process of contacting Fiskars to see if a new wire guide is available. I would purchase this cutter again if I can't just replace the wire guide.
I debated on whether to purchase this so late in my crazed card making season. I'm soooo glad that I did. It made my last mad rushes sooo incredibly easy. Love the fact that you can see exactly where you are cutting, that it lets you cut a 12 x 12 sheet. The cuts are very precise and one sweep cuts it! It folds and is very compact. I can put it in a drawer without fear that something will be broken. Fiskars is a trusted product!!! This will be a staple in my card making tool kit!!!
I really love working with this trimmer. It's easy to use with all the sizes printed on it. The increments are easy to read and I love that there is a wire guide right where the cut is going to be so I know exactly where I'm going to be cutting. I wish it came with a scoring slide as well so I could score my cardstock after cutting it. Wonderful product from Fiskars though!
I have refrained from using a trimmer in the past because, for some reason, whether operator error or product error, the edges still came out ragged. I don't have that problem with this trimmer, even when I use the larger 12x12 paper. Now I'm waiting to get the scoring attachment for the trimmer as well.
Kept waiting to take the plunge to upgrade from my portable 9" trimmer to this 1' and am super pleased!! Cuts through paper seamlessly, has some sort of non-stick coating that prevents your paper from slipping, which has been the bane of my existence with my old one!
The only gripe I have with this product is...I wish I knew about it sooner!
I have three cutters and this replaced a cheaper one I have used for years. I wish I would have made the change a long time ago. This is a great little cutter to have handy. The lines are all strongly visible, with my eyesight, that's important, and the wire shows you exactly where your cutting line is going to be. I love this!
I have had 5-6 cutters and I am sure I have found the one I like!! Very easy to use !!
I have other products of FISKARS and should have started there first but at least I now have a cutter I will use.
Numbers on ruler are so much easier to see than on my old Fiskars trimmer. Love the wire cutting guide, too. I'm making exact cuts much more easily these days!

I need to replace the wire on my friskers

Contact Fiskars. I have a friend whose wire shredded and she contacted Fiskars and they replaced the wire - sent her a new one. Hope this helps!!

I purchased a Fiskers Trimmer (Rotary) yesterday and under the blade there is a long white bar that fits into the slot beneath it. One side of the slot is smooth and the other side is grooved. Is the blade suppose to cut on the smooth side or the slotted side. Also does this bar have to be replace periodically?
